Lawyers Overseeing Marijuana Litigation in Traverse City Will Get More Pay

The lawyers overseeing marijuana litigation for Traverse City will get paid more.

The Traverse City Board of Commissioners voted Monday night to increase the cap of legal feed for Garan Lucow Miller PC.

They will now receive $45,788.63. The original payment cap was $40,000.

It comes after the city attorney says they reached a conclusion in the lawsuit over marijuana businesses and the September bill was slightly more than expected.

The Traverse City Board of Commissioners also approved a $40,000 budget in the legal fees if there is an appeal.
