Melbourne company uses record of Melbourne being most locked down city in the world to raise funds for Beyond Blue

A local company is using Melbourne’s bleak record of being the world’s most locked down city to help support people doing it especially tough because of the stay-at-home orders.

CBD-based creative agency By All Means is raising money for mental health organisation Beyond Blue with its t-shirts and other merchandise that commemorate the moment in history.

The merchandise has been on sale since September 23, with just two days of sales left, and has already raised over $31,500 for Beyond Blue.

By All Means co-creative director Ed Howley said the project aimed to turn Melbourne’s record on its head.

“Once crowned the world’s most liveable city, it’s devastating to see Melbourne take on the new title,” he said.

“Rather than wallowing, this project aims to not only celebrate our amazing city, but raise all-important funds to help alleviate the ongoing mental health crisis.”

The t-shirts have been designed by Melbourne artist and illustrator Oslo Davis.

All profits from sales of the merch will be donated to Beyond Blue to help fund mental health and wellbeing support services to improve the lives of individuals, families and communities affected by anxiety, depression and suicide.

The limited-edition merch is only available until this Thursday from locktown.com.au.
