  1. Also how’s it recreational marijuana users fault that schools aren’t actually teaching . There is no incentive for teachers to work harder and they ask for more money every fuckin year , hasn’t seemed to make any difference . Teachers should be held accountable for the shit test scores they’re producing .

  2. EVERYONE IN THIS COMMENT SECTION SUPPORTING THIS BILL: PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, LOOK AT PROPOSITION AA THAT WAS ALREADY PASSED TO BE THE SAME THING. THEY LIED, THEY BARELY SPENT ANY OF THE MONEY FROM THAT ON WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR.

  3. ill believe you when you actually use the proposition AA money for what it was meant for. its the same prop and its gonna be the same thing again. voting for this is absolutely a mistake.

  4. Every year there is another tax on marijuana for schools. I received something in the mail saying how 39% of third graders read at grade level and 24% of 6th graders are passing math at grade level. THEY AREN’T USING THE MONEY WISELY THAT THEY ARE GETTING RIGHT NOW FROM MARIJUANA TAXES! This is money straight the the school boards pockets. Schools around here ALWAYS having fundraisers for something. We still pay for school field trips for schools we pay for the teachers to stay and not quit. The money won’t even go to the schools directly! Private schools don’t need public funds either! Prop 119 is a complete JOKE!!

  5. Bad idea. Improve the schools with our money instead. Shit, rec mj is taxed at around 26% already here in Denver. Raise the taxes and more people will turn to the black market.

  6. Holy fuck, as if I need it to be HARDER to afford the medicine I need?! WHY isn’t weed covered under medicaid at this point, seriously. It’s ridiculous that I, as a medical patient, already have to pay hundreds a year to be able to afford the medicine I need — Now you’re trying to increase the cost FURTHER?!

  7. And for all you liberal enlightened parents, keep drugs out of your home. Your children's lives depend on you being the parent that they so desperately need! Children first starts at home. The government cannot save you from the evil of this world.

  8. At first this might seem like a great solution to help fund stuff but when you think about it…We pay taxes on EVERYTHING and those taxes have been said to go for the exact same thing this new marijuana taxes are said to go to…So then you much ask yourself what are they spending our already taxed items on???? Where is that money going and why haven't they already come up with solutions to fund more schools, teachers and whatever else they say our already said taxes go to….????The wording of this new taxe sounds ligit but the content of it shows a big lie…I don't smoke but I vote against this bill because we already have tax payers money going for such things and that money should be better tracked and be accounted for rather then taxing more to cover up poor government funding…

  9. There should be no tax on marijuana. Decriminalize it like you did mushrooms and leave people alone. Stop putting it on the street corner for children to buy.
