  1. My dog Oliver is a Service Dog and he was cleared by his vet to work and hes been having this these wierd fits at random. He can be sleeping on the floor then stand up walk somewhere then ends up loosing all control of his balance he acts like hes constantly falling over and Hitting his head and face on things. And the vet has said with every test hes fine and it is worrying because I dont want to be working a dog who is I'll.

  2. I have a 20 yr old pomeranian that's been having episodes, as we call it. Not sure if it's a seizure or not. Yes, we see the vet regularly and because of this we've made end of life arrangements but can someone please tell me what is happening to her. I just want an answer besides " an episode " please help….so this is what happens, she gets a little antsy & wanders around the house then stops. Looses all ability to stand. Falls to the ground and lets out a double bark ( everytime but doesn't do this any other time) lays down chin up stops breathing, ive brought her back with cpr 10 times in the past month. She's really tired afterwards but within 20 minutes she's up & acting like nothing happened. Can someone please tell me what's happening? I've done everything to save her but these are getting closer & closer together. I'm forced to ask here because I've been searching the internet with no luck. Please help.

  3. I wish someone could’ve helped me and my daughter last Monday we had to surrender our fur baby to animal rescue to save his life he started having seizures and he was on meds twice a day and then it happened that last Monday over night he started having even worse seizures and they wouldn’t stop so I couldn’t take him to his vet over an hour away and I was afraid he would die he’s only a year and half and they said they can save him but we would never see him again instead of putting him down I just didn’t want him to be in pain or suffering but it’s not right that instead of helping us and him they just ripped him away from us and he’ll get help and be adopted to someone else we are in Macon Georgia my daughter and I can’t stop crying and want him back if I knew it was a simple switch of meds and he wouldn’t die I would not have taken him there but I was in a panic and didn’t want my daughter to see him die in her arms we knew he would need tons of money in care so I quit my job and my daughter got two jobs to try and help out and save all the money he needed he’s only 2 pounds so I didn’t want him to be alone and die or get seriously hurt or be scared it wouldn’t have been fair to him so all of that all that we did just to lose him in the end instead of them working w us and trying to help us all it’s not fair I am a single mother no family no friends no father no child support nothing so it’s hard enough as it is then the pandemic took so much from us then our fur baby getting sick after almost having him 2 years then boom the worst thing happened and we felt horrible for him he’s such a good boy he’s never known anyone but us we got him so my daughter wouldn’t be all alone when I had to work and we were all on quarantine now it’s so empty here no joy no happy sounds no more hearing his little feet coming down the hall no more sleeping w him next to me and we are heart broken and so worried about him too don’t want him to think we just abandoned him either so if anyone knows the rescues in Macon GA and can find envy and help him get home please reach out to me and help us we are so lost and broken we are new here and I actually have a friend I made here bc I saved so many dogs on the streets she works for animal control she’s an officer and she knows how good I am to my animals and even ones that aren’t mine too I just want him to be ok and I’m so broken my daughter tried so hard and time unfortunately just wasn’t on our side I am still waiting for my taxes and unemployment after 7 months now or I would have spent any amount of money I had to to not only save him and make sure his quality of life is the best it can possibly be he’s safe and not scared or in pain uncomfortable I’d do anything for him I could we just need help we can’t find out any info on him besides they switched him off the meds our vet had him on to phenobarbital and he was ok w o anymore seizures as of last week now no one will answer me it’s heartbreaking my daughter doesn’t even want to live now w o him even if we can just visit him or something to know he’s ok even would be better then nothing poor little buddy I can’t stop crying if anyone can help us pls pls reach out anytime thanks 😢

  4. To all the owners' who have dogs suffering from seizures may have good results. I love you all who take care of the dogs till they get old and die naturally.

  5. Seizure-like episodes had us concerned with our 7-year old Rotty/Chow-Chow mix last summer. After 4 episodes in 7 months, we looked at the fact that he was gaining weight and his coat looked horrible. After a lot of research, we asked the vet to do a thyroid panel on our boy. Yep, hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can present with vertigo, balance problems, and loss of coordination in humans (not frequently), so why not dogs. DO NOT discount what is here in this video, as it is great information and quite relevant. However, do not rule out a thyroid panel test. The thyroid controls so much in the body of mammals. As for our pooch, one year later, his coat is as thick and as rich as it was when he was 2-years of age, he is back to his normal weight of 97 lbs., and he has not had a seizure-like episode since beginning his thyroid treatment.

  6. My beagle poo has been having random episodes for 2 years since he was 10 months old…exams have been normal…they last for a couple minutes he never loses control and I'm so frustrated…during the episode he then vomits and is fine

  7. I got a puppy n he is one year old. He shakes a lot. I am not sure if it is due to cold or he is having seizure. I am worried. He shakes while sleeping a lot and while eating. I wish he is fine

  8. Sounds like a petit mal seizure in the first case, if the dog had lost bowel control then it would have been a gran mal seizure. Seizures can kill you like tje pne that killed Prince John , brother of King George V.

  9. My dog had a seizure for almost an hour then she could not walk properly and would fall if she walked and could not hold her head up either. She has been like this since we rescued her 3 years ago.
