Noida: A 26-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly supplying marijuana after taking online orders from Sector 49. Police said the accused used to do home delivery of the cannabis across NCR.
The accused has been identified as Saurabh Kumar, a resident of Ghaziabad’s Sahibabad.
“During a regular checking near Spectrum Mall, we stopped a man on a motorcycle and checked his bag. We found around 250 grams of marijuana from his possession. The team took him in custody and questioned him,” said Vinod Kumar Singh, SHO, Sector 49 police station.
During interrogation, he revealed that he used to take online orders through WhatsApp and calls and later supplied them at the customer’s door steps.
“He has revealed that he got into this business to earn quick money and had been doing it from the past one month. We are checking on his previous involvements while teams are also working to track the customers who used to procure cannabis from him,” Singh added.
