I don't see the keto and gluten-free thing as such a difficulty. Everybody can eat (green) vegetables and meat.

Basic thing: Do a meat-veg sauce.
Boil or bake rice, pasta or potatoes for those that can eat that.

Take a proportion of the sauce away before adding milk products with lactose for Hannah.

For Hailey and Aurora take their proportions away and add nothing or water and seasonings if needed, and substitute the carb with shredded white cabbage or shredded zucchinis or some pumpkins of your choice (as in spaghetti type shredded, there are cutters for that on the market). Zucchinis function very well as a substitute for pasta, cabbage is perfect for more spicy stews or soups (as long as you do not boil neither of them, as in keep them crunchy). For Hailey beans function too. — Given that this is a healthier version, other women of the family might want to join in on the meal on occasions too. I know the men wont, but…

Also hamburger salads or nacho salads are perfect too.

Pizza is more difficult, but there are gluten-free choices, at least in Europe, and cauliflower-almond based keto recipies. Matured cheese is lactose free, so the ladies can binge on cheese and veg. Try a proper European fondue or use dippings for crisps for veg for a snack.

If Aurora needs to go on a full-keto diet I've got a recipe of my own for keto-friendly crackers – just ask! Also remember, she may need smaller portions, if she eats more healthy fat.

  2. I learnt from the Felts family of the Nemechev Protocol (cheap diet with omega-3 and inulin) that helped their adoped girl with seizures a lot, also their other little girl is dumb (not deaf) and uses sign language very fast and efficiently, maybe that was also useful for Aurora to express herself and fun for the whole family to learn

  3. I’ve heard lots of great results using CBD oil. By the way those flaming hot Cheetos are really bad lots of kids stomach lining issues, ulceras. Try to eat small amount with other foods. Lots of kids in ER with these problems

  4. hi aaron/crystal i'm a little concerned about the thumbnail image of aurora for this video (and some of the other epilepsy ones), I would hate for any of these images to be misused by potential predators >.<! Please be cautious and consider changing the thumbnails!

  5. Check out the Wahls Protocol (barns and noble), it has three structures one including gluten free and one keto. Terry Wahls, also now has a cook book. I use it to treat my MS, it has stopped my seizures as a result of MS brain damage.

Infantile seizures are often attributed to pyridoxal phosphate deficiency, which as a genetic condition is quite rare. Yet the influence on pyridoxal phosphate on epilepsy due its converting (the excitatory) Glutamate to (inhibitory) GABA is fundamental https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-0348-7393-2_54 and there can be a problem with the accumulation of vitamin B6 as pyridoxine due a deficiency of its conversion to pyridoxal phosphate. This is often seen in autism https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16494569/ and supplementation with pyridoxine (the usual form of vitamin B6) may be problematic and aggravate a pyridoxal phosphate deficiency. So there is always concern that glutamate is becoming toxic and its increase from MSG rationally increases susceptibility to seizure. Magnesium also fundamentally opposes glutamate and a keto diet may lack this often deficient nutrient as well. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S089990071830618X
