What I've heard recently is that calamus is a wrong interpretation for cannabis… (from the Exodus Effect documentary about a pastor who was researching for a cure for his wife's illness, and another source I'm looking to find – I really want to make my own holy oil the way it was originally made… so I'm still figuring the whole thing out. Thanks for your insight; always appreciated. The scripture in Exodus also mentions cinnamon, cassia, myrrh and olive oil. Also, do you know where a person could get or make the type of cannabis oil used in the Bible?
What people forget is that people didn't drink or consume the oil. It didn't get em high. So they weren't sinning. They weren't living like drunks, they were using it in an anointing oil

Thoughts? I see the making of this anointing oil as being very holy and reserved for His priests in the line of Aaron. You can make the recipe and omit or replace on ingredient and it will be fine. We are not to make the exact composition as it is reserved for His priests who are given very specific guidance on HOW and WHEN it will be used.
