Personally I would have used a split base of whiskey and gin to try and invoke the flavor of pine. Being from Washington state the smell of pine reminds me of the forest. Maybe an old tom gin in place of the whiskey would also be a thematic good choice. Also the idea of an herbacious liqueur sounds like an appealing route maybe a quarter ounce of chartreuse. Idk about the CBD though never had it.

If you ever try to do a CBD cocktail again they make flavorless extract that you can mix with water, it’s a little more expensive but well worth the extra pennies
