Investigators arrest two in raid on Wilderville illegal marijuana grow | Local

WILDERVILLE, Ore. — Josephine County investigators arrested two people on Tuesday during a raid on an alleged illegal marijuana grow near the community of Wilderville.

The Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team (JMET) worked with the Oregon State Police Southwest Region Drug Enforcement Team and the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement Team to serve a search warrant Tuesday in the 400-block of Crystal Springs Road.

During the search, investigators say they found an indoor marijuana cultivation operation. They seized and destroyed about 400 marijuana plants.

Officers arrested 64-year-old Jian Li Mei and 55-year-old Wei Kang Zhu. Both are charged with unlawful manufacture and unlawful possession of marijuana. They were taken to the Josephine County Jail.

The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released.
