WOOSTER – Three businesses are eyeing Wooster and Wooster Township as the Ohio Board of Pharmacy prepares to award 73 medical marijuana dispensary licenses throughout Ohio in the coming months.

The board increased the number of licenses in the Wayne, Holmes, Medina and Lorain county region from two to four in 2021. This means businesses are searching for potential real estate for their next dispensary.

The Ohio Board of Pharmacy released the list of companies and addresses for the 1,462 applicants. Nearly 230 entities submitted applications and 16 submitted more than 10 each, according to a Cincinnati Enquirer report.
