Chad we went through a similar bewilderment period when my son was born. Like Chase, ours had one older sister. However, my parents (son's grandparents) raised four kids and made the first diagnosis. My wife refused to believe it; we went to multiple developmental pediatricians with hopes one would tell us something different. We also thought he might be deaf. Today our son (15yo) carries a cell phone with GPS app and wears an autism bracelet for safety. I hope Chase will return someday to your videos.
I didn't want to be hugged as a kid and my parents would get angry. There were a lot of things I did that I was sort of punished out of. I think it's good to push a child but controlling with fear isn't helpful. I'm glad you were so aware to what was happening
