Alabama deputies seize guns, THC candy, marijuana – KIRO 7 News Seattle

MOBILE, Ala. — Four Alabama men were arrested on drug charges on Wednesday after deputies confiscated guns, THC candy and marijuana, authorities said.

Tuyen Nhut Huynh, Dekari Kelis Hart, 19, Daniel Dinh Dang, 24, and Eric Lopez, 21, were arrested at a shooting range in Mobile, according to a news release from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.

Huyhn was charged with possession of marijuana, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Mobile County Sheriff’s Office online booking records.

Investigators were tipped off that a deal was happening Wednesday night at a shooting range, WALA-TV reported. Deputies said they saw Huynh put a black bag into a vehicle occupied by two other people, the television station reported.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and said they found five loaded pistols, a pound of marijuana, two packages of THC candy bars and $4,700 in cash.

Huynh’s vehicle, which was still parked at the range, was searched, WMPI-TV reported. Deputies found marijuana, empty baggies and scales on the car seat, according to the television station.

Lopez pulled up in another vehicle, and deputies said they smelled marijuana, WALA reported. Deputies said they found a gun and marijuana during a search of his car.

Dang and Lopez had pistol permits, which have since been revoked, the sheriff’s office said in its news release.
