  1. The ECS is undoubtedly important, but the claims she makes here are way too big. The ECS is a small subset of the nervous system. She said the brain isnโ€™t the one in charge, itโ€™s the ECS, which is just absurd. The ECS is just part of the brain and larger nervous system, and itโ€™s not even the most significant part. So many neurotransmitters are at play, endocannabinoids are just some of them. The idea that the healthcare of a hundred years ago is better than what we have now is also clearly wrong. Life expectancy has gone way up, the survival rates of most diseases has gone up significantly. If I got appendicitis right now, I could get that fixed up quickly and would be left with a tiny scar. If I got appendicitis 100 years ago, Iโ€™d be dead.

  2. Because acupuncture is a secret big pharma don't want you to know about! She lost all credibility for me. The endocannabinoid system is important to understand and she ruined her entire speech for me by mixing it in with quackery.

I guess it's the same reason it's hard to find a mycologist who isn't obsessed with magic mushrooms and mysticism.

I think the main point is that stress reduction and being a healthier person mentally also helps maintain better physical health (like lower heart rate and reducing blood pressure), you are also more likely to take better care of yourself if you're happy and relaxed. The quackery behind it all is just a placebo

  3. Nice note from TED in the description, talk about some Reefer Madness nonsense, who do they get their info from, Harry J. Anslinger? 1979 the US gov patented THC as a Cancer cure ffs! No scientific evidence, what a joke! The fact we have an endocannabinoid system is a huge indicator. lol

  4. my brilliant friend who knew all about cannabis and its benefits became a cannabis addict lost his job and now regularly goes in and out of deaddiction centres for drug-induced psychosis ..

  5. We have been educating our customers in our stores all about phytocannabinoids and endocannabinoids. We've found that our shops gain far more popularity with customers because all of our staff is required to learn from people like Dr. Rachel Knox.

If you ever shop for Cannabis products (we're in NC and sell what is legal here and ship in USA), be sure to ask questions to make sure the person helping has some depth of knowledge beyond "yeah, it's got THC and some other stuff in it."

We hope TEDx and others expand their talks with more on natural healing tools!

  7. Im 40 years old suffered from what they called it fibromyalgia, well 4 days on rick simpson oil im cured!!!! THIS IS GODS PLANT, THANK U FOR MAKING ME FEEL 20 AGAIN. ๐Ÿ™โค

  8. I found that CBD helped me way better without the side effects of Xanax – and it landed in the BIN. How in the world is possible that a plant that was used thousands of years to treat pain/nervous problems and many more was not tested as other heavy drugs? I don't get it. There is like 100 different canabidoids in this plan every one should be extracted and tested to find out how exactly is working. Instead of putting money to have drugs put them to research this natural substances!
