  1. I spent hours watching material on this issue. This is easily the weakest and worst commentary on the issue. “It’s inevitable.” “They wanna eat.” They eat every time they get a portion of the gambling proceeds the nfl receives from those sites. Horribly discussed by people I consider intelligent.

  2. It's jeopardize s the game . It's a rule that must be followed .Regardless if other people do it they don't get to play in the league. Wait till ur not in the league to gamble stupid . And he does it on his 📱where it is monitored the official gambling sites that sponsor the NFL are watching (It's in the contract with the casinos)and soon the government will too. Stick with the bookies stupid.

  3. It doesn’t matter. The rule is the rule. You can’t bet on any games during the season because of the integrity of the game. He might get ban from football. Same thing happened to Pete Rose for 30 years.

  4. See I knew it this just further proves my point that all players, coaching staff, coaches, gms, all bet on games even though they have a huge advantage which is obviously cheating to the max but these players have their family members, girl friends, go download William hill, bet MGM, etc and then they give them bands to bet on they need to stop all this cheating it should be jail time if u are involved with any professional sports u can not bet it will result in jail time idk y ppl involved with professional sports even bet they already getting paid hella good leave the betting to the average Joe ppl trying to come up in this cheating ass world 🤦🏾‍♂️

  5. The MJ analogy is terrible. It was the Gambling App that turned him in. Both the Gambling app and the NFL had to protect their integrity to avoid litigation. MJ affects an individual, but the loss of integrity of the game can take down the league, and by extension these gambling sites.

  6. I disagree can’t compare what he did to smoking weed. He missed more than half a season due to “mental illness”
He didn’t disclosed any info to his team as far as we know. While missing games he’s gambling on football. He risked $1500 for 11 mill crazy. Even if he assumed the punishment would be far less. One game is worth more than $1500 😬

  7. This is probably just the only one of a few that we know about. You expect to make it legal for everyone else and don't expect players to do it. Get a grip

  8. Stop being apologists for bad behavior. The everybody is doing it is a lame excuse. He is betting and he is playing. This is a very clear cut issue. He is not a fan.

  9. I get gambling shouldn’t be that huge of a deal, but Ridley did this while he left his team for a “mental health” leave. I’m not a doctor but gambling (especially when you know it’s against the rules in your job field) isn’t the best way to deal with those mental issues.

  10. Players can't gamble on their own sport, lest there be fixed outcomes. The public (gambling or not) expects that they are watching a game, with an unknown result. The players know this. They signed the contract. And whatever punishment they receive when they get caught is their own fault. Thems the rules, and if they don't like it, they should start their own league.

  11. A full season is a little harsh imo especially when you’ve had multiple accounts of Belecheck actually manipulating games and he’s still around
