I like and agree with most of your views. When I don't agree, I still listen to get another perspective. I do have to make a point here about the "Freedom Convoy". Please don't lump all of us truckers together. I applaud their attempt to correct a perceived wrong. However, not only were they wrong, almost every trucker out here knows at least one person who has died from COVID-19. As another point, these guys were a very small percentage of truckers; the vast majority of us were still hammer down, getting stuff where it needed to be. We just want to be able to support ourselves and do something constructive in the process. A mask never stopped me from that. All that said, continue to be a voice of sanity in the insane asylum of the world. Take care of you and yours.

Is it just me, or did this episode seem to lack more focus than usual. Lots of getting sidetracked from the original threads of the conversation. I think that it diminishes the effectiveness of the podcast.

Back in the mid 1980ās I was living and working construction in Nashville,Tn. during that time hundreds of journeyman carpenters had to flee New York and move to where the next major construction was happening at that time. The reason? Donald Trump refused to pay each and every one of them for reasons he pulled out of his butt. Heās Been doing this for 40 years and nothing has ever been done to stop this ahole. Itās unbelievable. Whereās our justice system? Well now heās graduated from fleecing the few to fleecing the country. Now his sights are fleecing the world. If by any chance that should happen, then you might as well kiss everything youāve ever loved, enjoyed, cherished will end, period.

Back when I drove a truck for a living (around 2000 years ago), I used my rig to make money delivering stuff from one place to another (and attending the occasional tractor show). As opposed to, say, wasting fuel waging some kind of idiot protest against public health measures THAT DON'T EVEN EXIST. Maybe that was just me?

This is my take on the so called Freedom Convoy. As a truck driver there are 3 different kinds of driver's. 1st is the Professional Truck Driver. They are kind, courteous, dress well, clean and do their job with precision. 2nd is the Steering Wheel Holder. Only cared about themselves and the paycheck. They cut you off in traffic, ride in the middle or left lane never going fast enough, they wear flip-flops, pajamas, are always dirty and smell from not taking showers. These are also the ones that have Lot Lizards (Sex Workers) in their truck. 3rd is the Old Timers. These guys think the world owes them everything. They also think they know everything because they have been driving for 35 years. But will be the first one to rip your hood of your truck and then say it's your fault. The driver's in the convoy are in the bottom two. Just look at the comments on FB like in CDL Life. The majority of driver's think this is a big joke. They aren't even 1% of the trucks on the road.
They said that polish fighters can fly the planes we are giving them. Also, maybe those Russian soldiers are sabotaging the equipment so they don't go. š¤·āāļø
Hope this makes you laugh, but I was on a road trip to visit friends, 300 miles one way, and crossing in snow zones here in Oregon and there was a FedEx full sized Semi in a ditch in the mountains that had several "wreckers" (heavy hauler tow trucks) and they were able to keep a lane open for traffic that was amazing.

And assholes be assholes: this one brought out the opposition responses in spite of the fact that everything Titus said is 100% true – the mandates being protested no longer exist, the US Constitution has no authority in Canada, there was very little response to the "freedom convoy" in general. The faux outrage and militant response just makes zero sense.
Yes, spread kindness! Holding the door is polite, and if someone holds the door for you, say thank you! Don't treat them like they are a servant and it's a privilege to hold the door for you.

We don't call them truckers, we call them convites. The truckers were working, the convites were protesting stuff that was or is being lifted already.
