  1. I like Paulina's willingness to be so open. You should ask her and Dave if they'd both be up for her to be a guest on the Dopey podcast. The two of them could make for a great interview. Not that your show(s) with her aren't great too, but it would be outside the family. It would definitely make for an interesting dynamic.

  2. Susan has been spending too much time around YMH lol.

In all seriousness, this was something I really needed to listen to, as I have been a near daily marijuana smoker for about seven years. I’ve felt like I needed to quit for some time now, but I don’t notice the negative impacts it’s having on me from the current state of being inside the addiction.
and every time I do stop, I can’t eat much and I vomit anything I do consume.
I’m having a really hard time moving forward with this, and with everything else in my life. Your words are a real inspiration, Paulina.

Thank you so much for everything you do, Dr. Drew and family.

  3. She wants so badly to be accepted by her parents that she has become their new project, once again, trying to speak their language of addiction/trauma/psychology/writing these books. There's nothing wrong with her, but she's too young and underexperienced/undereducated to be given this platform. She's maybe a perfectly nice person but she's a spoiled rich child without enough wisdom to be worth listening to for this many minutes. When kids like this grow up and get done with their rebellion phase, they always go back to being Republicans like their narrow-minded, hateful parents. She's a punk rock white feminist with a trust fund and her dad is not a good person. So many actual experts could be given this platform.

  4. What a great book and role model for the new generation!Finding yourself in clarity and learning your own boundaries are both the things I wish I began to work on years before! ( you know your finding yourself more when you enjoy working with your parents minus the resentments! No matter what age!)

  5. Paulina is amazing. She has that kind of inner beauty that shines through and makes her grow more attractive as she reveals her personality. Some people have the opposite thing going.

  6. Paulina, I was "raised" watching / listening to your dad. I didn't believe God was a "man in the sky" either, but you just mentioned praying to your dead relatives and talked about someone crying out to God so somewhere deep down, we all know who God is and that He made us. He is real even if you don't believe in Him. What you're struggling with is sin and the fallen nature of humanity. I know, sounds crazy but the truth shall set you free. I started smoking weed when I was about 12 and did drugs/ alcohol on and off and was a promiscuous woman. Jesus said I am the truth, the way and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Me.

  7. took last opiod 2016 after 15 years use for injuries and chronic pain, yet have no need to announce anything to friends or family, just don't get the whole hey I'm sober now for x amount of time thing , if that helps addicts deal with living like a normal healthy person after years of destructive behavior, ok congratulations for being an responsible adult.

  8. This qualifies as "A Very Special Episode" !!!
I'm thinking that while the triplets are back living at home, this is an opportunity for a reality show that could be on par with "The Osbornes".

  9. I'm an advocate for the proper use of marijuana. Using marijuana and other drugs like alcohol isn't good. Don't blame marijuana for your sickness. Blame the alcohol which does kill the body.

  10. By allowing his daughter to project her immature behavior onto a substance, Dr. Drew is getting the false verification of his condemnation of a substance that had beneficial uses for her. It's such a fundamental thing: Use is not abuse. She was an abuser of Cannabis from the beginning. Her father the "doctor" could have instructed her on dosing, the thereby gotten personal time with her and avoided all this drama.
But he has a personal quirk, and cannot see the benefit sick people receive from Cannabis. He doesn't understand it himself, because he was subject to propaganda all his life, and feels insecure on the subject.
His condemnation is probably partial cause for her abuse of a medicine in search of mental relief. Same goes for alcohol.
She says 13:40 "I feel like you understand me better". She grew out of her angst. Kids do.
That's what it was all about.
It's called 'being a teenager'. Sheltered kids go through it for longer.
Why malign a medicinal plant? Why claim a dependency on a substance that causes no dependency? Behavior causes dependency with Cannabis. Abuse, instead of use. Psychological dependency. As in, all in your head. Immaturity.
A 'doctor' putting out questionable advice, because it soothes a personal quirk.
    Why am I not surprised.

  11. Dr Drew you are such a blessing!! You’ve really gotten me through these last hard 2 years with covid and beyond and have opened my eyes about other topics. Keep it up!!

  12. Rogan said it best. Weed doesn’t make you lazy and unmotivated. It’s the individual, if you were like that to begin with you will be an even bigger loser. Taking responsibility for your life is the real problem with many people. We live in a sea of people with victim mentality. It’s easy to blame everyone else but yourself for why you are in the situation you find yourself in because of the decision you’ve decided to make. Once you realize it’s nobody’s fault but yours, you will become a better person.

  13. I think the important thing to know is everyone is different. Seth Rogen is an example of someone that has a positive experience with it. I've never had withdrawal from it

  14. I dont want to sound like a troll but the eating disorder needs more work; weed seemed to have helped with coping with a lack of assertiveness and/or stable identity, so you will need help with that for sure. Weed is illegal in the vast majority of countries so some butthurt activist smokers are to be expected, ignore them. Cheers and good luck with the recovery.

  15. Thank you for sharing your story, Paulina! You’ve got a big milestone coming up! 90 days is huge. 😘🎉 I’m celebrating a year on 4/2, God willing. If I can offer some thoughts – don’t stall on Step 4. Be fearless and thorough; get it all out on paper so that you can share it and hand it all over to your higher power ASAP. You don’t need to hold on to all the junk that holds you back anymore. Get through Steps 4 and 5 like your life depends on it, because it does. Ask for help if/when you get overwhelmed. I’m rooting for you!! Sending all my love 😘🌹
