Hi! My husband and bought a place with disused and weedy fields. We don’t yet have farming equipment. How would you suggest getting these type of seeds into the ground? We have a push mower and weed eater, shovels and one garden weasel hand tiller.
Great video thank you! Please I'd ask, is it possible then a roller crimple ahead combined to seed directly rear with a no-till seeder or a fertlizer spreader? Thanks
I'm wondering about the seed heads on the cover crop and whether you waited longer than you wanted to chop and drop the CC?
I am no farmer, but we just bought 8 acres and are looking into a cover crop for the lower part of the property (7.5 acres) which someone else has been rotating corn, soybeans and something else on. It's bare soil right now (February 4).
Looks like a good way to start young trees in areas with high deer graze. They would never get to the trees and it all would die in winter to never smother out the trees.
