The main problem with medical cannabis is that there are hundreds of different strains. You can't just say, "Medical cannabis or marijuana is great." That would be like saying antidepressants are fabulous. It's a generalized statement. WHICH cannabis strain is great? For WHO? Why? What medical need does it target? Pain? Anxiety? Reduction in seizures? Any research to show this? Nobody really knows. We think we know, but it's still mostly trail and error with dispensary strains. The more research on specific strains, the closer to identifying specific strains for specific purposes. Even then, you must find and get that SAME therapeutic strain each time, It's difficult since you don't always find same strains .Different growers. Different strains. Contaminants. Mold. Even strains named the same don't always have same effect. There's no oversight or consistency. Personally, I would prefer an FDA approved cannabis medicine that is tested and will be the same medicine each time, but alas, here we are. The FDA limits use of cannabis RX like Epidiolex to only a few people with certain types of seizures. .Or Sativex (another cannabis RX), for only a few types of medical needs. This has left many people frustrated and in a constant state of research, searching and solidifying which strains are most therapeutic and consistently available for their loved ones.
