  1. The current state of affairs regarding drugs is a criminal and human rights violation issue of serious importance.

Prohibition should never have happened, regulatory control is the only way to limit the harm of drugs from production (cartels), to distribution (gangs), to use (health and safety). There is no excuse for anyone to sit idly by while the human rights of individuals choosing to use drugs, or those who are addicted to drugs are trampled on. Nor should we ignore the pragmatic grounds, that drugs are made far more dangerous by handing over control to the black market. The synergistic interplay between the alienation and human rights abuses and the practical consequences of current drug policy is and has been an absolute disaster on just about every level… and for what? So that people who blindly use legal drugs can refuse the illegal because they've been sent a 'strong message'? BS.

    What do you think?
