  1. I've had seizures since I was about 11 and tried just about every medication. My Neurologist and I played musical chairs with medications for 5 years until Medical Marijuana was available in North Dakota. Last year, I was given the subscription for it and have been using it at least several times a day. The high only lasts 1-2 hours at most and you can ride that out by watching tv or listening to music. The effects that keep me from having seizures lasts for 6 hours. It also filtered down to areas where I have chronic pain and the pain stopped. I have been going for months without seizure activity instead of having them regularly, and sometimes daily. My Neurologist saw a definite improvement and started weaning me off of the Anti-Seizure meds. Now, the only thing I use for Epilepsy is Marijuana. Basically it gave me my life back.

  2. Why if this doctors say's there has never been an overdose of Marijuana why did he say his ER saw marijuana users in the ER all the time….it must be they were using alcohol or pills….

  3. my Grand-Daughter has started Medical Marijuana and is getting better she went 30 days without 1 seizure. she was having 80 seizures a day so we are like you it's getting the right batch the right amount of CBD or  Thc in her doses but we are very hopeful in those 30 days she could of had 2400 seizures and she had none now she may have 2 or 3 in that many days so it's a waiting game but we are hopeful.

  4. This is an excellent video. Great work! We will share it on our Hope 4 Children With Epilepsy page here in Utah. Together we can push the research to move forward more quickly. BTW….Mallory is beautiful, and I'm thrilled to hear she is responding!

  5. I have chronic migraines. I have tried many medications (that have caused so many side effects) and other things with very little results. I am desperate to find something to give me my life back. I am wondering since migraines and epilepsy have many things in common if you think this worth pursuing for me. I live in AZ and we do have legal medical marijuana.

  6. i was born with epilepsy according to a doctor that did an MRI.  A  sideeffect of Pharmaceutical engineered medications is Seizures. If we are willing to take meds that harm us then using this oil might not be so bad after all.

  7. I had my first seizure when I was 5 and have been on almost every pill out there and they have destroyed me, I'd rather have my seizures than take the pills, I feel I spoke with this same Dr in this video when I went to the ER and I've been trying with some medicinal things since and zero side affects, way lower anxiety, and almost no seizures. A lot better way to go about it, plus you don't get all high from it

  8. My son started taking epilepsy seizers when he was aged 7,he started of taking up to 50 absences aday plus petit mal seizers, after another few years he started taking grand mal seizers ,he has been put on 50 plus different types of medication to try and control his seizers ,at the age of 18 he started using cannibis and his seizers were cut right down to 80% ,he takes 11 tablets in the morning and 12 at night,he is now coming 21 years of age and since using cannibis his seizers have almost gone, and he only takes absences 1-5 times now a day were he was taking up to 50.i believe that cannibis should be made into a medical form as I and what I have seen and heard of thousands others that cannibis helps epilepsy ,cuts down on seizers and relaxes the person who is epileptic .!there has to be away for the government to allow cannibis into medical form for long term patients instead of the patients living on upto 30 different tablets aday, plus it would be far cheaper in the long run, look at the money the government could save and put back into the hospitals ,I'm against drugs but if it was used in the right way ,to help people suffering from different illnesses I would be a 100% behind it and I think many 100000s would support it also.!

  9. Thank you for sharing Mallory’s Story. The Epilepsy Foundation supports the rights of patients and families living with seizures and epilepsy to access physician directed care, including medical marijuana. We are calling for an end to Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) restrictions that limit clinical trials and research into medical marijuana for epilepsy. Read our statement at http://bit.ly/EFstatementMedicalMarijuana. To further this cause, we have started a petition on the White House website calling on the President and the DEA to reschedule marijuana to a lower level under the controlled substances act. To sign the epilepsy petition, please go to: http://bit.ly/epilepsywhitehouse.

  10. Dr. Minahan, you were always a pleasure to work with at ARMC and you always showed us RTs a great deal of respect. How can my family help your family? Can we make a monetary donation to help your cause? Can we write a congressman? Please let me know. I shared your video on Facebook, hopefully more people can watch this video because I'm with you 100%.

  11. I hope this goes viral so that the millions of people who would benefit from medical marijuana will someday be able to have this prescribed in California and know that the quality control is there in every bottle.  There is every reason and hope that this product will help with epilepsy, cancer, and other diseases.  Bless you for sharing your story.  I will post it on Face Book, and invite all of my intelligent and compassionate friends to support your cause.
