SHELDON—A 20-year-old Sheldon man was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest of Irving Immanuel Hernandez Rios stemmed from a report of a male smoking marijuana outside Deluxe Apartments, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
Hernandez Rios handed the police officer a cigar packed with marijuana and a cigar wrapper containing marijuana and admitted to smoking the cigar, according to the incident report.
