Sioux Falls man arrested for marijuana | News

PRIMGHAR—A 26-year-old Sioux Falls, SD, man faces an additional charge after he was found in possession of marijuana during his arrest on an O’Brien County warrant about 5:45 p.m. Sunday, June 19.

The arrest of Zane Wesley Kirkwood stemmed from the stop of a 2012 Nissan Altima for traffic violations on the 1500 block of Coolidge Avenue, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

Kirkwood was found to be wanted on an O’Brien County warrant on a charge of contempt of court for failing to show up for a compliance hearing in O’Brien County District Court in Primghar.

While being handcuffed, Kirkwood told authorities he had a THC vaping pen. The device tested positive for marijuana/THC, according to the incident report.

Kirkwood then was charged with second-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana.
