Three arrested after deputies find 9 pounds of marijuana at Arcadia home

ARCADIA, Fla. – Three people are behind bars after deputies uncovered more than nine pounds of marijuana at an Arcadia home Thursday afternoon.

Linda Stoddard, 69, Daniel Stoddard, and Patsy Matejka, 19, were arrested after deputies executed a search warrant at the home at 5751 SW Charolais Ave, according to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation uncovered 9.11 pounds of marijuana.

Deputies said none of the three suspects had a current medical marijuana identification card.

Linda Stoddard is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana (less than 20 grams).

Daniel Stoddard is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

Matejka is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three are also facing a charge in connection to being in a place where controlled substances are illegally kept, sold, or used.

They were taken to the DeSoto County Jail.
