  1. What's helped my seborrheic dermatitis a great deal is staying away from grains, gluten, and dairy. I actually use the evening primrose oil on my scalp and it works wonders. I did research and noticed oils that had a higher oleic acid content, made my dermatitis itch like crazy. So, I researched oils with the lowest oleic acid content and evening primrose oil and hemp oil are my go to for my weekly scalp treatments. And if you have hard water like I do, a WaterStick works wonders!

3. Why then has Borage Oil cleared up my sisters exema and melasma? A friends son who suffered from cystic acne used it topically and it completely cleared! The narrator has a condescending annoying voice too. I call BS here.

  4. How is olive oil a placebo? Fresh unfiltered Olive oil especially works great for dry skin. It’s not a placebo to compare. A placebo is something that has zero benefits like a sugar pill or water..

  5. I think that all these are different diseases and allergies..the reason for the poor health of the body is impure food, drink, air. it all aggravates the health of good body cells and immunity but has a good effect on parasites (hyrps, worms, and protozoa single cell)hidden in the body! these parasites are hard to find good masterpeice that even modern diagnostic medicinskie them to find! and from them it is necessary to get rid! they poison the body very much! This is primarily food (chemistry.GMO) and drink (chemistry.GMO) Ah and air (ecology)! etching the body and affects the good body flora of growth cells and immunity! of these three!!! problems of the modern world. at least two and better all three will be environmentally friendly, it is already possible to cure these health problems.

  6. So I suffered from Eczema for years and the one oil that did help me was Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I could literally see a difference in redness every single time if I didn't take a tbsp for one day. I've tested this many many times just to make sure it wasn't in my head. For years I couldn't get off of it and although I know you're not a fan, the results it proved for me can't be denied so if any of you suffer from eczema, try 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil. It works.

  7. If you’re suffering from eczema, you know how frustrating it can be. Your skin goes all red, it feels sore and it becomes flaky…

Not to mention being incredibly itchy. And the more you scratch… the worse it gets… Which makes it difficult to sleep and to do normal everyday activities.

But worst of all… the creams you’ve bought only seem to work temporarily…
before the problem comes back to haunt you again.

It’s a nightmare… but what can you do about it?

Well, give “Eczema Free Forever” a try.

  8. I would be really interested if you could do a video on psoriasis treatments. I have it in my ears and back of my scalp… I have been vegan for 2 years. I try oils and holistic medicines lotions… but I’d love to know more about what I can do. Please and Thank you 🙂

  9. Please talk about Topical Steroid Addiction/Topical Steroid Withdrawal. Why does everyone think topical steroids only causes thinning of the skin??? It does way more damage than that! I started getting steroid induced eczema and that caused Red Skin Syndrome. It is the worst. It’s been 19 months since i stopped using Topical Steroids and I’m still going through awful withdrawals but I’m definitely way better than I was when I used steroids. Itsan.org has opened my eyes to this.

  10. Please Mister NutritionFacts, take a look at the facts and studies!!!!!!!! People are scared for steroids for a reason! Please don't say that your skin turns to 'normal' after a month or that it is confused with the other type of steroids? The bloodvessels are contracted because of the cream but damage over time! The immunesystem is suppressed and will go crazy after a while and make the symptoms worse and worse. The gutflora will be damaged. My withdrawal symptoms were very severe when I stopped using it. Nerve pain, burning skin, sleepless nights for over 6 months, 50% hairloss! I developed lots of food intolerance's and urticaria, because of steroids. I was shivering, supercold, had irregular heartbeat, bruises. It will take an average of 2 years to heal from topical steroids, but if you used them your whole life it can take 4 years. Please look at Itsan.org where more than 10.000 people are connected to. Studies from India, Japan, America warn for this drugs that is given to people like it is a miracle cream. It's not O.K.! Look up dr. Rapaport Topical Steroid Withdrawal here on youtube if you want to know the truth. Atrophic striae of the groin, adrenal suppression, skin thinning (common!!), skin depigmentation or dark pigmentation, Cushing's Syndrome , broken blood vesselsextension of leg ulcers, perioral dermatitis, steroid acne, rosacea-like dermatitis, transformation to pustular psoriasis and tinea, failure to thrive (stunted growth) in children. Hell no that your skin turns to normal after a month.

  11. My God, WHY WOULD any of these supplements work? What chronic buffoonery is plaguing the scientific community? Eczema and acne are REACTIONS! To prevent the negative reaction, you simply take away whatever is causing it! You don't ADD things to the equation for fuck's sake. I lose respect for the scientific community every day with profoundly retarded ideas like this passing as intelligent discourse.

  12. I don't get it. My hand eczema stays away if I use a hand washing liquid without soap and/or Sodium Laureth Sulfate (typically the baby products). And dry them properly. And wear mittens in winter. I also know of people with skin issues who use waaaay too much detergent for their clothes so there is no way that today's water saving washing machines can get it out. Yet, none of my doctors (except a dermatologist) mentioned or discussed this. It's not always about medicine. But hydrocortizone is amazing when things get out of hand. I always use it to GET GOOD and the other methods to stay good. As it should be. Poor kids, whose mothers deny them that.

  13. Just finished moisturising with a homemade emulsion of water, veg glycerin, coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil, and frankincense essential oil.
Seems to keep my eczema in check if I cover my entire body after every shower/hands after washing. I use a slightly lighter one on my face made from aloe, almond oil, jojoba oil, frankincense and lavender essential oils. Would like to know the scientific opinion of the use of different oils such as these and if it's just as effective to use straight up coconut oil for example.

  14. NutritionFacts, at 4:28 you say that olive oil is placebo. That's nonsense. A real placebo would be water. You're actually saying that treatment with either oil had the same effect. Your video is misleading.

  15. Shouldn't one eliminate some sugars in their diet to improve their skin condition? After all, a person with diabetes have thirst and dry skin problems; so if they eliminate some sugars, (including meats and dairy) their eczema will disappear. Isn't this the answer?

  16. Dr. Greger, thank you for this topic. I have suffered for years, I have done everything, ate a very "healthy" diet. I did leaky gut protocol, bone broths, meats, cod liver oil, kefir, stayed away from nightshades, no gluten, no grains, no legumes, paleo(worse). After almost dying last year from autoimmune condition, and eczema at its worst, I went to do biofeedback treatments, my body was allergic to everything, had hashimoto's, parasites, candida, liver, adrenal, kidney and lymph problems, chemical sensitivities. He told me to go vegan and I finally did after What the Health, 4 months ago. No oils has helped tremendously, no dairy, no meat(fat)?no processed food, no refined sugars, no GMO anything! I am able to eat more food, nuts still a problem, grains, but some legumes are ok. At least I can eat now, before I was eating 5 foods only! Many of my allergies have gone away by going plant based, liver I guess is finally able to cleanse. Shea butter is my best friend, I mix with geranium, lavender, and other oils. I try to keep stress away, walk everyday to move lymph, neem, holy basil, oregano oil, olive leaf, zinc, boron(borax miracle)! minerals(deficiencies), dandelion, magnesium! Essential oils on thyroid. Those are things I have taken, not all at once, but have helped! Sorry its so long! I can't wait to see your next segment!

  17. I've had eczema ( on my fingers only) since after my pregnancy 7 yrs ago, switched to a vegan diet 2 yrs ago and have noticed only a little change. It was until I started washing dishes and washing my hands with the dr bronners hemp peppermint and pure caster oil soap ( few mnts ago) that I haven't had an flair ups.

  18. I have successfully cured my eczema I've had for 5 painful years using a protocol from the Medical Medium book. It is a liver issue. Also when there is an abundance of bad copper in the liver and a pathogen, the pathogens feed off the copper and create a by- product called a derma toxin that comes out in the skin. Yes, some can go all plant based and be cured, but not me. I was already vegan when it all started.

  19. "We'll find out…next."

Such a tease. Also, my wife is suffering from atopic dermatitis right now and has a fear of the cortizone cream, so I am very interested. Looking forward to seeing this…tomorrow.

  20. I can't stand these we'll see what happened next videos because then there's most likely a video already out there that is sort of related and you wonder if that's the next video but maybe not where's this other next video at? is it there now? do we come back later? did I miss something?

  21. With vegan diet, you should also be aware of possible zinc deficiency due to excessive copper in plant-based diet.  This in turn throws off copper- zinc ratio so that even if technically you're getting the RDA of zinc, you can still be zinc deficient.  Also, even though grains and legumes are good sources of zinc, only about 20–40% of zinc is absorbed. This is due to its absorption being lessened by the presence of phytates and fiber in these same foods, and to lesser degree the presence of calcium, and phosphates.

After a couple of years as vegan, I found out I was zinc-deficient (had classic symptoms) that was confirmed by serum test, despite eating well over RDA of zinc.  Likely it was due to overconsumption of nuts, legumes, and grains which are high copper- zinc ratio.  I've been taking daily zinc supplements since with good results, meaning symptoms subsided then disappeared.

Topically for atopic dermatitis, I have recommended to my patients to try Medihoney, it's a natural therapy that is used often in inpatient setting for wound care/ burns.  Also you might want to try zinc oxide topical cream, it also has antimicrobial properties especially good if you have oozing wound from eczema flare-ups.  Most importantly the key is to establish good skin barrier to prevent flare-ups.  But I would reiterate try taking zinc supplement to see if it help with atopic dermatitis/ eczema, as research has shown sufferers to be deficient in zinc as compared to cohorts without AD.

  22. For those suffering. Try fasting.
Also, eliminate the most common foods you eat.Dairy and sugars are really bad , specially if your older or very young.
I found out after 4 years of messing around that my triggers were dairy, coffee, and an acid found in many vegetables.
I also found that certain mold spores drove me crazy. Specially the one's produced by oak and apple tree leaves when they fall in the autumn.
Experiment with eliminating things from your diet and activities and you will find out your own triggers.

  23. The fact is most non irritating oil/fat smeared on eczema will help as it covers the rash from further infection and irritation. Those oils/fats with germ killing properties will be the best.
