MUSKEGON, MI — The CannaBash 2022 festival drew thousands to Muskegon for the town’s first marijuana consumption festival on Saturday, July 9, 2022.
The event was held at Softball World and hosted by Cannabis Lupus Café, and seven of the town’s cannabis retailers were there selling products including Kai Cannabis, Pure Options, Cloud Cannabis, Lucky’s, High Profile, Skymint and NOBO.
Along with cannabis vendors, the festival included food trucks, a fireworks show and kickball and softball games.
The festival also hosted musical performances on two stages featuring Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Trick Trick (with band), Luniz, Sloan Bone, Willy J Peso, Kelsey Lynn and Echoes of Pink Floyd.
“Muskegon Township is very receptive to cannabis and is really helpful with getting started in the business. Their arms are wide open here,” said Marc Robert, co-owner of Lucky’s Community Cannabis Company, one of the seven cannabis companies on the board of organizers for Saturday’s event.
“The township board is very enthusiastic about seeing if we can incorporate this lifestyle and this cannabis into our community in a safe manner and have people accept it more than it already is,” said Jennifer Hogges, Muskegon Township supervisor.
When asked if the board would like to see the event become annual Hogges said, “I can’t say sure. We’ll have to see it seems to be going well.”
