Police said they seized and destroyed 3,944 illegal marijuana plants in seven industrial-sized greenhouses after serving a search warrant Thursday outside Cave Junction.
The property showed evidence of multiple Josephine County code violations, including unpermitted structures, electrical installations and excavation. The property owner could face civil forfeiture and legal action such as the closure of the land for one year for illegal drug cultivation, according to Oregon State Police.
The OSP Southwest Region Drug Enforcement Section team, assisted by Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team, carried out the raid in the 600 block of Pinewood Way, OSP said.
