A Lot of the doodles are not brushed, the dogs are not trained. I had a lady come 3 times and can not understand why I can't cut the hair on its face. It swings it's head towards your hand to bite and I am scared I will end up stabbing him in the eye. So I keep turning her away
Hi Amy what do you recommend me for my type of dog I have it’s a shih tzu and I want to make sure I want the best product for my baby. And how many times do we shampoo their coats before we condition
Please do a video on imperial full coat shih tzu. Mine is 6.6 lbs but im doing too much brushing. Dry and lack of shine and oil. NYC in house groomer unfortunately doesnt know about shih tzu hair. Took 7 hrs to demat. Coat was so thick. I will email with pictures.
Hi Amy, thank you for all the advice and tips very helpful, i use tropiclean shampoo hypoallergenic on my pomeranian puppy and in-between baths I use biosilk detangling spray conditioner and brush alot as I don't want him getting matted, is there a conditioner you would recommend for the pomeranian coat ? Thanks a lot Amy, I found all the solution my my problem and my struggling in my grooming work. being a new groomer in a small shop. now using the information and I've learn. Your technique amazing. Bathing and conditioning one dog most especially those matted dog, i got struggle sometimes.
To the person who wrote in asking abut pre- clipping….I just want them to be aware that using tools through an un-bathed coat can blunt the blades..you can preclip a badly matted dog, so save an old ( but usable and sharp ) number 7 just for preclipping so you don't blunt your better ones. Blades can be expensive to keep replacing 🐾🐾
Do you recommend a good conditioner for my Alaskan Malamute? Is it a bad idea to mix shampoo and conditioner together for my type of dog? I once saw a groomer mix it to get it to get through the coat. Of course she didn’t have the bathing system.
Have a Cavapoo (doodle) thank for teaching me. I feel sure a lot of professional groomers do not understand that they need to teach new owners . Owners need to understand they need to maintain for the health of there baby’s. Wish breeders would explain more about the grooming they will need to client that do not understand what they need to do on a regular basis to help there hard to groom dog dogs to be Healthy. I have an almost 10 month old Wooly Husky. I'm currently combining thru his PLUME of a tail, and it feels so…dehydrated? Does that make sense? His hair feels a little corse on his tail. I'm using the Oster brand shampoo and conditioner, and it's great for only a couple days.

Will it hurt my shih tzu's skin and hair if I bath every 2 weeks? She does have a full coat.
