I'm not sure if I have SIBO but I suspect I could. I've been dealing with severe POTS autonomic dysfunction, neurological symptoms, tingling and numbness all over body, and exercise intolerance. Lots of digestive issues, and all my pots symptoms get triggered by eating. I eat super clean, so restrictive, no gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, canola, sugar. Still pain and symptoms all the time 24/7. Starting to research maybe its gut health more so than ill nervous system. Do you need to experience constipation though when you have SIBO? Can you have regular bowel movements but still have sibo as an issue?
Wow, you have no idea how much of a relief it is to finally see someone not spouting pseudo-science bullshit, trying to convince people to take colloidal silver, soil probiotics, biofilm busters, or some other horrible for-profit mechanism that will just make their situation worse. You really did your homework, everything is backed soundly in science and research. I'm so happy that you were able to find some relief. Your journey is very reminiscent of my own, though for me it was Kidney struggles rather than Liver, likely due to struggles filtering out the acid from the blood. It all started in high school for me (15 years ago) and was livable, if unpleasant, until the brain fog came on about 5 years ago (Started after probiotics, which lines up with Dr. Satish Rao's study implicating overgrowth of common "friendly" strains in its production – https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6006167/) . The answer I found was a poor one — I went full Keto to maintain some measure of function, because I found relief on it (and the ability to think… Your comments on brain fog are the first I've really resonated with… like life is over, and people complaining about gas and bloating will hopefully never have to understand), but eventually developed nutrient deficiencies because any FODMaps resumed symptoms. Fast Forward to a month ago when I finally had a GI with enough awareness to point me toward SIBO. I start researching it and come to many of your same conclusions and paid money I couldn't really afford for the test (It's insane most insurance don't cover it at this point, but will cover endoscopies/colonoscopies) because it seemed like all the pieces fit if it was true. Now diagnosed with significant methane presence and awaiting the GI to get back to me about treatment plans (and prepared to fight him on it if he suggests something other than Pimentel's approach!)
Again, great video. If people are looking for real information on the subject of SIBO, it's potential effects on a person, and all the shit people have to wade through to get help… This is a fantastic source. Ignore the quacks trying to sell you stuff that will only make your problem worse (sans placebo effect) just to line their pockets. Listen to this guy. Try to glean some direction from the path he's already trod.
Have you had encountered an issue with Vitamins going high for some reason (Like vitamin A, E, K)? I had vitamin E going borderline high and Vitamin A going to toxic level without having an idea why! Even the doctor cannot figure out the reason .. I donāt know what to do
Thanks for uploading this video, got test result today for methane dominant Sibo. Went on youtube and reddit to check right away and glad I found your video. I experienced brainfog, but nowhere near as bad as yours. I've been having this for 10 years. I can now finally try some more pinpointed treatments. Will look into the doctor you mentioned. And will also inform my own doctor on this issue, since he never heard about it, but told me he's really curious to know more about it. Like you, I'm also determined to obliterate this problem and make sure it never comes back. If this helps, I'm going to help to like you share my experience to people with similar problems.
Thank you so much! This was a true eye opener and an absolute gem of a video.
I got a question regarding Magnesium Oxide .. when you started to take it, did your body absorb it properly? Was your stool outcome normal or was it all diarrhea at the time?
Just got diagnosed with SIBO and wanted to chime in to tell you how thankful I am to have run into this video. You provided a comprehensive description of what it is and what helped you and made me feel like I wasn't alone in battling this horrible disease.
Crying watching this! I have all this. Itās been a year of nightmare last months also brain fog and histamine is so bad This are the worst. Iām drunk day and night. I really hope i will share my healing story same as you. All the best. Thank you for this .
The same here, suffering from SIBO, +Gastritis, going crazy to figure out what to eat and my stomach here every single day, I got used to, disappointed with GI doctors that they donāt know how treat SIBO,or they do not want to treat you, they donāt make money treating SIBO,they only want Toto procedures which is good money for them, and they tell you to follow a diet or go for a second opinion, I learn how to managed my symptoms all by my self Because doctor treat any GI problems with PPIs
Hey! Thank you! thank you! and thank you so much! for the information. I have been struggling for so many years with SIBO! I'm on the stage that I'm feel so frustrated because I tried already many thing and also all recommendations from my GE Doctor and nothing help. I did a breath test that actually confirm that I have SIBO and methane predominant. I take rifaximin every year and it worked very well but my last time was 4 month ago and it didn't work this time. It made me be constipated something that I never be before. I'm right now with the Low Fodmap diet. I watch on the video that you didn't like it. I totally agree because is super restricted. I have improved but I'm still having inflammation on my small bowel and I still bloating. Everything that you said make sense for me now. It's so true about the MMC . I hope now with the information that you give here in this video help me with my motility. I would like to ask you how was you protocol. I need your help!!! Did you change something on your diet? Or just eat healthy ? I don't eat gluten, fat, processed food, dairy and sugar. I eat really heatly and plain but even with that I'm still feeling bad. First at all how was your treatment. please could you be more specific? Did you take the first week magnesium ? How did you take it? morning or evening? Before or after meal? Sencondly did you take the second week the ginger and artichoke extract in the morning for how long? Also You mention on the comment the triphala that is something that you usually eat every meal or just when you feel that you need it? And my last question did you take these pills( magnesium, artichoke and ginger etc..) before you did a round of rifaximin? I don't know if I need to take rifaximin before I start doing all of your recomendation? I'm super happy that I found your video!. Could you please specify how did you do it? Thank you I hope you response my message!!!
WOW, can't thank you enough for making this video! it's been a little over 6 years for me too. experienced soooo many of the symptoms you described, and oddly enough, i had just figured out through trial an error that one of the main things effecting me was gut motility, literally just a few days ago….and then i randomly found your video and you just blew my mind and laid it all out. So once again…thank you so much for sharing your story! You did such an amazing job presenting and explaining everything!
Thnx for the info. I can totally relate with the doctor part. I would never ever be able to have faith in them like before. What can I make of this info as I have IBS D(that's what they call it here, don't know if it's SIBO Or not as there is no testing facility in India as of my knowledge). Kindly reply.
Thanks for sharing your video you're very lucky to be well again but you probably know that. Ive been experiencing digestive issues over 3years its been rather unpleasant and its got worse over time. I have leaky gut gastritis acid reflux and waiting for the sibo test to come back. I sent off for it as I started with constant gas which is pushing acid into my already inflamed stomach with the gastritis, this is sooo painful. Anyway Ive had gastritis over a year and im thinking now maybe the sibo has caused all these things and didnt realise I had it all this time so in a way its a good thing that its got worse with the gas as its brought my attention to it. Hope you stay well š
This was a great video with very helpful info. Recently found out I've had SIBO for decades. During a 3 day emergency fast I added ginger extract and it got stuff moving. Am adding Ginger+Artichoke extracts to my diet. Thanks for sharing this info, I greatly appreciate it.
Thank you, going to focus on the artichoke extract and garlic extract. Ive been a sufferer of chronic constipation for 10 years after taking accutane. Ill be following up here in a month or so
Thank you very much for sharing your story. I have been actively battling SIBO for two years, but I believe Iāve had it longer because I suddenly became lactose intolerant about 5 years ago. You give hope. I hope people keep spreading the word about this semi-silent epidemic. Thanks again!
hey man, came across this video on reddit, thank you so much for putting all of this info together. Definitely going to try some of this stuff and hope for the best!
Hello, thanks for the video. I'm pretty sure i've got SIBO and a stomach ulcer as well as a result of the Sibo. I'm concerned the ginger would hurt my ulcer, did you feel any burning in your stomach from taking the ginger + artichoke?
Omg, I had a very very similar story, I just finished listening to this, and i'l make time to write my symptoms, because i had a little more than you, God bless you, you are an answer to me! š
10 min into this video I felt it's gonna save me, I'm so exited to try those, thank you and thank God. I had gut issues for years and then those horrible brain fogs. Hope to update when I'm healthy

Did you follow any diet at the beginning? I mean the first times you start to taking artichoke and ginger?
Brilliant video. Really appreciate the information.

Your gastritis was diagnosed by endoscopy? How r u now in terms of gastritis?

Great video very informative.

Thanks so much for this! Was nausea a symptom you had?
I did a urinary organic acids test which showed no elevated D-lactate.
This means I don't have d-lactate sibo right?
I have ibs and tons of other issues. Your video has made me aware of some new stuff which I'm looking into.
Thank you!
