Jimmy should have said ended the story "and then i had this incredible guilty feeling deep down inside as I watched him plummet towards the earth… perhaps i didn't need to push him out of the helicopter, but we both knew it was time" 🙂
Scientism aka Science is a Satanic Religion Designed to Destry God and take away from the Miracle of his Creation wich is you and i created in his image!!!
This was genuinely something special. Jimmy Carr is always hysterical, but in this he shows some humanity, and a philosophical depth that I never would have expected from him.
Holy heck, about 10 years ago I abandoned a script about two jewish clones who were aspiring comedians but kept stepping on everyone's punch lines because I thought no one would ever find characters like that believable… What a fool I was.
Jimmy Carr looks like Pinocchio made a wish to be a real boy but it didn't.. quite… take… He sorta looks like Richard Nixon's younger brother. Last time I saw a forehead like that was Frankenstein's Monster.
Edit: Now that I've had an hour of Jimmy talking, I think he might be the Ouroboros. His head seems to be so far up his own backside, I'd say he was "taking out his a**", but his head is so far up there I think it looped back around again. He is a human tesseract of smug.
Faith is the voluntary act of believing in something, regardless of any evidence for or against it. Science makes no statement without evidence, you can't have "faith" in science.
phenomenal. truly. four comics that deliver from the intellect rather than the painful needy side of comedy, have one of the most present, human, and humane conversation I've heard, and, peppered with killer punch lines and callbacks.
Big fan of everything and everyone here, but not knowing what an isotope is off the top of your head doesn't make religion any more true. "I don't know" is a huge part of science and it doesn't make any religious claim. That sentence meant essentially nothing.
I find Pete Holmes to be one of the most annoying and least charismatic people ever. Something about him creeps me out, deeply. Like, I think he might be a serial killer. No evidence or reason to think that at all.
Any info on the documentary that Pete says he watches each year… he refers to it as "Happiness", but not finding that; there is one called "Happy", but doesn't seem to be it… he talked about flow and line cooks, which is the part that caught my attention… any info to find it is appreciated.
23:56 I sometimes wonder if the Greek gods were just massive celebrities in their time. The evidence doesn't support that, but it's an amusing thought.
It's a different kind of the same type of atom. Meaning that it has a different number of neutrons but the same number of protons. I thought he meant that people don't know why things can have different chemical properties when they are so similar and that is still mysterious. But, you 1-upped him with your ignorance and was like "yeah…what is an isotope?". Either way I get it. Jimmy is so known for a quick set-up and move on, so it was interesting to hear him slowly build a premise. He kind of seemed a little coked up. Maybe he's just in a hurry.
Michael Jordan was a journeyman, not the greatest of all time? WT actual F.

Jimmy proves you can be deep, transcendent and completely rational. My kind of guy!

That shark story made me die
This is one of the best things I’ve seen; the four of them together. And, Jimmy Carr is so so on. Loved this.
Jimmy Carr and Pete Holmes in the same stream. I can die happy now…

You’re awesome Pete. Such a great group of comedians. Also just realized you laugh like Jiminy Glick sometimes and it cracks me up.
Yooooo Jimmy Carr is in God mode
Its cool that Pete's cohost were able to fill in last minute and showed it by dressing like one just got off work and one just got back from vacation

Pete being angry about people only commenting on his height is so fun 😂 it's nice that tall people also get mad about height
Pete loves to touch Jimmy 😁

Reggie makes the best songs.

Why you guys not drop the full Mateo Lane episode 😭
jimmy’s face throughout this whole thing is the best
If Jimmy is right, we should really stop talking about Hitler.
This might be my favorite podcast you have done. I loved it.
