So a company in the UK – with many conservative party members as either donors or with close affiliations and active roles within G W Pharm [at one point in time, the conservative party removed the then chancellor to the government on pharmaceuticals – Professor David Nutt (of pharmacology] with the wife of the CEO of G W Pharmaceuticals (she had a degree… in politics) and overturned the laws that Professor David Nutt had advised for the public health and safety of the UK]. So the problem / and connection I draw is simple: American pharma couldn't afford to legalise cannabis outright – because in doing so would put them at greater ransom to G W Pharma as due to negotiations with the EU: the UK pays a flat rate for American drugs – however – that policy is one way and so American pharma gets screwed over… which you might think "Fuck yeah, they deserve it" – but why do you think Americans pay through the nose for their medications? Because ontop of the greed and lack of care on their part – they're also being shafted by the very laws America put inplace that set world precedent on the legality of cannabis.
Though, another angle is: compensation. By admitting to fault – that puts their government in a legal altercation with all the people who have ever been incarcerated [of non aggressive crimes] for cannabis possession/use – where potentially [I'm not a lawyer] there could be grounds for a class action law suit for reparations.
A wild shot in the dark – is that keeping the market illegal allows special ops/intelligence operations funded by using "off the grid money" to fund "things that nobody should know that are taking place" [I take this 'theory' from interviews with ex-intel operatives from the CIA who "had to find ways to fund their operations] – though when one comes to understand how the DEA in the US funds itself [off of the selling of ill-gotten gains from raids on drug dealers… weird how that kind of creates a cyclical pattern as: the DEA needs drug dealers to legally rob, to sell their caddy's to fund more raids].
The 'kinda out there maaaan' theory [if you will] is that: Governments don't want people to use psycho-active substances as it has a tendency to cause ego death and a greater connection with who we are and the universe and can help guide us to being 'whole people' [of mind/body/soul] – where it's easer for governments to control and govern 'broken people'. Though like in the taking of all medications: comes with adverse risks to a certain percentile of the population, should have accessible information and understandings as to dosages and how/when to ingest.
