Ugh i literally just hat to pay 50 for it to be removed and it immediately came back i cant be assed lol also one of my lower teeths gums has gotten pretty Far back and idk why lol
I'm so nervous to go back to the dentist. My last experience was horrific. The place wasn't sanitary, I never saw my actual dentist, I got told to toughen up when I was crying while getting x-rays done because it was so painful, the staff was rude in general, and on top of it all, I left in an immense amount of pain that didn't go away for 2.5 weeks. All I went in for was a consultation and a teeth cleaning. I have never been in so much pain from a dentist in my life.
i got bad tarter while i had my braces on for three years and now i have them off and i haven’t gone to my dentist in three years i’ve only gone to my orthodontists office because my dentist chipped my brackets so i stopped going and now i’m super nervous and scared my teeth will fall out even tho ik the dentist can help i just have to make an appointment but i’m scared they won’t get it off or tell me to go to another doctor
So what if you already removed tartar and see redder gums underneath how will I treat the gums at home or should I go to the dentist and have them treat them. Will continuous cleaning do the trick and make them better? My front bottom teeth are pushed together so I can't floss them and they've created a wall of tartar that I can feel with my tongue which is gross and annoying and I don't have $2000 for a deep cleaning so it's bothering me ☹️
I just used an at home scaler and now I'm scared. my teeth feel fine I'm going to floss and use mouth wash and salt water but I hope I don't get an infection or anything 🙃. I only did it on my front bottom teeth
It can be done at home not sure if its safe but I just get a little flat metal thing like a tweezer or a nail and scrape with more and more pressure till the plaque pops lose to get plaque between ur teeth is impossible at home or maybe u could scratch it lose same way then floss it out but I don't.
Can you do a video on Debridement before a root canal procedure? I can’t find any helpful information on youtube about it and you’re great at explaining everything 🫶🏼
Not to mention you can gouge your root surface! I know a hygienist that ended up needing a root canal from scaling her own teeth. A bit click baity but I was glad to hear your answer 😊
Hi Whitney! I'm very grateful for your dental hygienist channel. Thank you for allt here informative videos you can tell how much passion you have for your job. I have one question, I don't do well with blood. Would you say DH's have to deal with a lot of blood on a daily basis or a very minimal amount?
I have a tooth that broke off completely I can still feel it with my tongue and the gum has covered most of it I have no pain and it is still well rooted should I just leave it the way it is I have had this for about 10 years with no issues
I felt something poke my tongue behind my teeth, and without knowing what it is I end up breaking a piece getting it stuck in my gums. Should I panic or should it fall out later?
I have been tempted to buy a scaler and try removing tartar on my own between actual hygienist cleanings. I think you make a good argument against DIYing it. I never considered that you might accidentally push more tartar below the gum line. I also didn't think about the quality of scalers you would find online or in a store might be suspect. Could improper scaler use damage enamel too?
I've noticed there's an in between stage between plaque and tartar, where it's not hard but firm, a wood toothpick works well. Useful when i haven't flossed in a few days
Day 4 of flossing last night. No bleeding and I am getting faster at it so it is less of a chore. Gums were a little sore after day 3, so I flossed less aggressively last night, and I don't have any discomfort in my gums today.
“No I don’t want your business , I don’t even own a dental business “😂 lol thank you Whitney for taking the time out of your day to post vids so informative and funny!!
Thank you Whitney for another great video..I went out and bough a water flosser today and i love it.Thank you for all your great videos and good advice.I'd be lost without you.👍💙
I know someone who thought they had a ton of cavities but after going to a dentist, they did a cleaning, and turns out it was just a lot of tartar/plaque buildup.
So, uh, yeah guys, plaque/tartar can get black gross spots too so .. yeah.
Most people when a tooth is loose they look in a mirror to see their teeth to pull the one out

If tartar get into your bloodstream, you’ll get infected and land in “buhbye” land.
