YOUR OPINION: Dangers of marijuana

Don Eggers, Jefferson City

Dear Editor,

If Amendment 3 passes in November, someone who has never tried marijuana will try it and like it to the point of becoming impaired after using it.

That person will attempt to drive, and someone will die. Someone else will try marijuana for the first time, will become addicted, will move on to other drugs for a greater high and will die.

Criminal elements will expand their operations in the state to make money off of the expanding market. As with all criminal operations, someone associated with it will die.

A person who dies in one of these situations may be a member of your family. If you vote yes for Amendment 3 in November, you and everyone who put Amendment 3 on the ballot will be responsible.
