The story of Uvalde is primarily one of complete catastrophic failure of law enforcement. The police stood outside and let the shooter run amok, and did everything they could to stop desperate parents from trying to rescue their kids. Really dark stuff.
Wow…The audio (which always is available first so I start there) gives such a different vibe than the video…I was getting a little stressed just listening…Pete seemed uncomfortable and Al seemed a little annoyed…Watching is much more friendly!
The specific west wing moment Pete was thinking of in The West Wing is almost certainly during "Posse Comitatus" where Governor Ritchie and Bartlet share a brief conversation during the intermission of War of the Roses. Governor Ritchie hears that CJs bodyguard is shot and killed and he responds "Crime, boy, I don't know" and then proceeds to call him a smug superior son of a bitch. Bartlet ends the conversation by saying "If in the future you're wondering, 'crime, boy, I don't know' was when I decided to kick your ass. Fantastic moment in a show about the politics that we all wish existed. Very much a similar emotional beat to that real world moment. When the absence of moral leadership becomes so clear, sometimes people feel compelled to step up to the plate.
Julia Child bleeding to death was one of my first memories. thanks lol <3
Thanks for defending Bernie here, Pete. Also Al was boring, never wanted you to talk over a guest more.
Mr. Holmes, you sir are one WOKE PYM VJ!!
That was close! Saying "black and tarry bowel movement" just a few more times summons a TYSO Goblin like Beetlejuice to spray diarrhea on your face.
LMAO when you threw the pillow behind him, I probably had the same reaction as you. I pointed at my screen
10:30 the ep starts, holy shit
You made it, Weird Al Franken.
Pete, 10 minutes of ads? Seriously?

Al comes off like a cranky contrarian at the beginning. Instead of yes-anding Pete, he just shoots everything down.
Deepak Chopra says (paraphrasing) when asking the question " WHO AM I ?" Go deeper, and ask "Who's asking?"
Pete sounds like Stuart Smally.
You made it Weird AL, Franken. #funwithcommas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqztPMRZLkg
Al Franken has the best laugh! Sounds like the gangster in the home alone movies.
"Keep The Change, Ya Filthy Animal"
Interesting that Pete is not familiar with a fellow Holmes, Rupert
I believe WWI was initially referred to as “The Deer Hunter”
It's-a me mario.
I love Franken and I want him back in gov. I'm glad Pete pushed back a little on the jabs at Sanders he was doing for unknown reasons.
When World War III happens, I say we go back to the old naming convention.
We'll have The Great War, The Greater War, and The Greatest War.
I’ve been saying for years that Pete needs to smile more!! 🤣🤣🤣
What's up Pete?

He really made it weird with the sexual harassment that ended his career.
