Hi again! I'm actually recovering from alcohol use disorder myself and the #1 withdrawal symptom for me has been anxiety with a close #2 being disturbed sleep. I have found that L-Theanine helps really well with both. I don't usually have a problem falling asleep initially, my problem is mostly staying asleep/getting back to sleep after waking up in the middle of the night. I've also found that leaving my phone in another room helps with that last part lol (for obvious reasons). Magnesium also helps with anxiety. I also found that this Berry Calm stuff that I bought from Amazon worked well too but they don't sell it anymore so I won't even link it lol. Good luck to you my friend. It's sort of ridiculous how what is being asked of us is deceptively simple but the mind (and the brain and the substance abuse induced chemical imbalance) makes it so freaking difficult lol. I'm still in very early recovery, I've relapsed numerous times. I had to resort to getting a kitchen timer lock box and locking my keys and wallet in it to introduce a good deal of hassle. From the outside looking in, you seem to be managing this process very well. Keep pushing!
Thanks brother. Keep going.
Hey man, how's it going?
