  1. I love Trey’s online content, and I love standup comedy in general, but uh…this is kinda ignorant & might be harmful. Yes, there are tons of shitty versions of CBD out there, sold online, in stores, etc. I have to assume he’s referring to that & hasn’t bother to look up anything more about it. And his crowd won’t bother to do so now, either.

Yet in a medical setting, it has been shown to be highly effective, specifically in oil form placed as drops under the tongue, for treating severe epilepsy in small children. Look it up, there are testimonials from parents whose children were having ongoing, nearly non-stop seizures, and after medicating them with tons of pharmaceuticals that did not help, they found the CBD oil finally gave these babies and toddlers relief. It’s still sadly considered a Schedule I drug on the federal level, making it even harder to test it & possibly find more uses for it.

I’ve had it in flower form, I mix it into THC-dominant flower to balance out the high, especially in sativa strains.

It’s the part of the plant that does not have psychoactive effects, it is intended for medical use and gives a gentle sense of relaxation in the body if taken at a proper dose. If any of you all paid attention to the labels on the marijuana products you purchased, you’d notice they almost always have a percentage for the THC levels, and a separate one for CBD, as well as the terpenes.

Sadly, all most people seem to care about is getting “as f*cked up as possible,” so the industry is producing lab-grown weed with progressively higher percentages of THC.

The average % used to be around 20% just a few years ago, it’s now surpassing 30% in most cases. And you can bet this will have consequences, including potential physical addiction to the plant, which many have historically touted it would not cause. Because our society loves to take a good thing and ruin it by doing too much of it. 😑

Anyway, I’m hopeful he’ll cut this bit, clever as it may seem. If only because when people potentially see legalization of it on a voting ballot, they won’t think it’s some BS and just ignore it. Thanks for reading & considering this.

  2. It’s cannabinoid. It’s a substance on the cannabis plant but it doesn’t have the THC so you can’t get high off of it. (I don’t smoke weed and never have, I just know about it from my psychopharmacology classes).
