Minnesotan arrested for marijuana, meth | News

ROCK RAPIDSβ€”A 63-year-old Comfrey, MN, man was arrested about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Rock Rapids on charges of second-offense operating while under the influence, first-offense possession of a controlled substance β€” methamphetamine, first-offense possession of a controlled substance β€” marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, defective or unauthorized muffler system, operating a nonregistered vehicle and no valid driver’s license.

The arrest of Lyle Robert Eineke stemmed from the stop of a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pickup at the intersection of Highway 75 and South Randall Street in Rock Rapids for registration and equipment violations, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

Eineke had bloodshot/watery eyes and impaired balance and failed field sobriety tests.

A vial of ground marijuana and two metal one-hitter pipes were found in his pocket.

A white crystalline substance that field tested positive for meth was found in his wallet.

A drug recognition expert conducted an evaluation and determined Eineke was under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant and cannabis and unsafe to operate a motor vehicle.
