The look on her dads face says it all. I’ve lost several friends and family members to overdose. They were way harder to handle than other loved ones I lost. There’s always the questions of why they were using, did they want to die, what could you have done, how did you not notice the signs.
If someone murdered one of my friends I could have someone to be mad at, but in overdose you can’t be mad at your friend for having pain and not knowing how to deal with it so typically the anger is directed at yourself. The blame game is harsh and there will never be any answers most likely. It’s just a sad situation. Nothing with ever fill that void.

I've overdosed on pills myself in the past to help numb out emotional pain and had to have my stomach pumped on one occasion for a self harm/ suicide attempt and it's so tragic when a person does overdose either intentionally or accidentally.
Yes it really traps you. I overdosed 3 times and have been saved those 3 times. It all happened during stressful times now I'm not scared because my tolerance is so high I'll get anticholinergic poisoning before I OD so I'm safe in a way.

I lost my son June 2021 from fentynal….he was only 28
