  1. Hi Stephen ,can I recommend a stretch that I do.
Sit on your knees and lay back with your arms behind/hands supporting you.
Now what you're eventually trying to achieve here is to be able to lay right down on you're back.
This is a really hard stretch to do(you definiately wont do it first time, careful not to injure yourself, as it's quite a stretch) and it'll take a good few attempts to do it,
but keep leaning back further each time and eventually you'll do it.
Since I started doing this my range of movement has increased incredibly.
Great for the hip flexors and quads.

  2. Brilliant Stephen just what I need to work on, more mobility, so good timing. I'm going to introduce your channel to my son James (aged 14) who enjoys his running. He has recently been diagnosed with ADHD and going through a through battles at the moment. I'm sure he will learn a lot through you sharing your journey to Paris 2024. I actually thinks running helps with his ADHD.

  3. Love these videos. I'm new to running and am learning a lot from these! Currently got a shin injury so it's good to hear about ways to prevent injuries in the future

  4. Great video again Stephen. Loving the content. I followed along with the mobility section as I have incorporated regular mobility/yoga/stretching into my routine. I do it several times a week for around 15 mins a session and have found this key to getting back to regular running after a lengthy layoff due to injury and then a lack of motivation.
A few days ago, you announced your short term 10k goal, and I said I hoped to get under 40 minutes again with a 10k race at the weekend. Job done 39.42. ๐Ÿ‘

  5. Great videos.. really interesting to see the content evolve, editing stuff more slick .. and I like the music volume ๐Ÿ˜‚ โ€ฆ English person now living in N Ireland so completely get the โ€˜upsettingโ€™ folks by saying hello observation .. I find it pretty much the opposite here ! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  6. 9/10! ๐Ÿฅณ
Great video and excellent advice as usual! One comment about your yoga: it's not 'bad' but realistic and relatable. And as it improves you'll be setting a good example of the benefits of consistency!

  7. Nice new Atlas tattoo. Related, have you had any issues with a new tattoo being affected by sweating during a long run? I would've thought it might cause issues with healing – that's the main reason I've held off getting one because I didn't want to stop training for weeks while a tattoo healed. Anything you do to prevent that from being an issue? Or have you found sweating on new ink not to matter that much?

  8. Great video – showing the hidden work that separates the great and the good. Quick question, I do most of my quality sessions on road and even grass when I can. In your opinion how much significance would you place on getting to a track if possible? Looking to build up to 2h29 marathon for 2024 from 2h45 for reference.

  9. I really love these videos. I have watched all of the so far. Can I make a suggestion? The music should be slightly down. I would love if the music was slightly lower volume than Stephen's voice.
