  2. Thank you for the informative video. I have witnessed this our senior pup. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot vets can do at this time due to possible under lying health conditions. When she came to and we just loved her and kept a calm environment. Hoping we don't witness any more, but it really helps to know more, then it's not as scary.

  3. My dog just started having episodes where she is just shaking like if she was scared that last for a hour and won't get up and walk and if she does try just sits there. She never has goes fully into seizure though. Does that still considered a seizure I took her to the vet they did blood work and everything was normal and say it may be seizures but they don't know

  4. My dog has tics – opening and closing her mouth very fast and doing a sign that she's shivering and bumps into things but only last a few minutes. Vet told me nothing can be done. Apart from that she's a very loving dog, although she has anxiety, whenever i go out, where dogs are not allowed to go. She's 8 years old

  5. Dankie! My hond is 10 jr oud. Bou stres ek. Sy is my lewe.Dis ao scary.

  8. You have lithographs of Texas Longhorn cattle in your film. We raised pure-bred Santa Gertrudis in Texas but we kept one Lonhorn. Named him "T-Bone", because he would eventually become a fine, rare stea.k

  9. Thanks for this video. My vet prescribed 125 mg of Keppra (non- extended release) every 12 hours for my 7 kg 5 year old Havanese. It initially reduced the seizures for 2 months but then resumed. So then he told us to give him the same dose every 8 hours. That reduced the frequency to 1 per week. So now he added 32 mg Phenalbarbitol and 125 mg Keppra every 12 hours. Hoping this will work to significantly reduce the number of seizures to less than 3 per year. What are your thoughts Doc?

  10. I'm a veterinarian I went to treat a seizure dog a after treatment when I left I for some hours I was told he was hitting his head on the wall then had the seizure for 15 minutes and after that he passed away

  11. brilliant explanation my 8 year old has just experienced her first seizures one after the other…spent night in vets with her..she has been given rectal diazepam and has had bloods done showing nothing abnormal…i fear i havent seen the last of this

  12. Thank you!very helpful, my dog was having something i could identify exactly what it is, but he has epilepsy and we dont know what it was, wanted to learn more and help him out

  13. Can a dog “walk” during a seizure? Our Shiba looks like she’s vibrating and then starts freaking out and running, but is stumbling and falling instead. There’s no signs of classic seizure.

  14. My 2 year old mini black and tan mini dachshund Slinky Winky just started having seizures, and just started having seizures, he hadn't done that before. What's going on? Really worried. Has anyone else's Dachshunds been convulsing all of a sudden?

  15. Thank you for the explanation. My dog started seizure last month, went to the vet, they given some shit to my dog and they prescribed antibiotics and diazepam..and my dog almost never had seizure for a month. Then it came back..bring her again tu the vet..they prescribed the same medicine. Recover from her seizure but she keep walking in circle and also shivering. I don't know what to do. the vet said just keep continuing give her med.
