  1. I was just diagnosed with EDS last year. The geneticist said many of his patients do well on high dose vitamin C, and suggested I take 3000 mg per day. I thought that was easy enough, got some right away. I was genuinely shocked at how it helped my energy! I was ashamed to even admit I had zero energy. I thought, if vitamin C could help, what other supplements might help? I started a multi vitamin/mineral and added D3, turmeric, and I take a slew of things to try to relax and sleep. Magnesium, melatonin, Benadryl, GABA, and L-Theanine. I’ve always had crazy allergies and did notice when I was taking prednisone when asthma flared up, it helped my pain, so my Dr. tried methotrexate, and folic acid. I had bad side effects from the methotrexate so I’m trying the (DHEA starting with a low dose), but the folic acid (1mg) did help. I’d never have believed supplements could really make a difference after decades of NSAIDs did nothing, but they have helped me. I’m hoping my hair will grow back so I also take viviscal, recommended by my dermatologist. I can’t begin to express how much I appreciate advice and suggestions for supplements! Thank you from every cell in my body! ❤️

  4. Hello Dr. Tennant. First, Thank you so much for what you do. There aren't enough words I can express for doctors such as yourself. You give us hope. My question is about Taurine. You have mentioned it can help enhance the effects of opioids for those of us who are under-treated, and also help treat WD in those who have been force-tapered. I cannot find the recommended dosage. Would you be so kind as to advise on that?

  5. I’m bedridden from both AA and a CSF leak and I’m wondering if you could invite someone to talk about risks comparing blood patches to surgery when someone has AA and a big leak. People with both these awful conditions have no choice but to proceed with one of the two. Please talk more about this issue because it’s an impossible decision.
