  1. Thank you for bringing this to light. I am so sorry for your loss. I want to also say shame on those who want to blame you or cast shadows. I have 2 high schoolers and will be having conversations with them, again. Bless you for all of your courage to get in front of strangers and share your story and educating others. Prayers to you all

  2. in my opinion you should start talking to them at an early age cause you just never know when they will start to get curious every person is different but I know I started smoking weed at a young age and hid it from my parents for awhile. Saying my kid would never is never the answer cause they can do it behind your back and you’ll never know

  3. Thank you for talking about this. I had friends get addicted to pills in highschool and then lost so many to overdoses and fentanyl in the years after. This summer it felt like every week we were losing someone to fentanyl. I've been trying to reach out to local organizations to get a hold of fentanyl testing kits to had out at the funerals and other places but it seems like there's a real lack of resources. The police in my area also seem to have no interest in getting to the root cause and finding who is distributing these and it's really sad.

  4. I've got narcan in all my first aid kits I've seen a lot of people try drugs in my life and I know that that would help fentanyl morphine oxycontin it will work on any and it's not hard to get something you can also put your kids on besides adderal try strattera my middle daughter took it for years because adderal affected her growth

  5. This is definitely something that needs to be talked about more. It’s been a huge problem for years especially here in Arizona, i can literally walk down the street and meet over 10 people just asking me if i want some. And when i tell them i don’t smoke any of that, some people will still peer pressure me even though i literally look like i’m 12. It is so frustrating because that’s exactly how it starts. i know quite a few people as well who actually started getting addicted because they had a serious injury and actually got addicted from the start of them going to the hospital

  6. Don't take a narcotic. I just had a surgery and I would not take the prescribed medication for this very reason. Ibprophin worked for me. Try a legal over the counter pain reliever first. It could save your life.

  7. They give you fentanyl when you are induced they asked me about it I kindly refused cause my entire family struggles with addiction and I’m the only one that doesn’t cause I watched what it did to them my entire life . I wouldn’t change my experience for anything cause if I hadn’t gone though that I would probably be strung out on drugs in the same boat as the rest of my family or dead .

  8. This is probably the most important video I have seen in the past few years! Great job putting this out there. Everyone, whether you have children or not needs to hear about this and do something to help save your children, friends, family, neighbors, whoever.

  9. In the news in Oregon today, 2 studenta and an offecer were hospitalized due to smoke from someone smoking a pill in MIDDLE school!! Its so scary how young theyre being effected. Breaks my heart
The county it is in said that theyve had many deaths and overdoses this last week due to an extremely strong batch of fake pills on the street.

  10. Can you please post all of the links that she referenced in the comments or in the body of this post because some of them I looked up and I am not understanding them correctly, and evidently have a letter wrong or something if you could post all of them it would be helpful

  11. I graduated in 2003 from the high school your kids go to…. It was bad there back then and I can only imagine how bad it is now. I now have a 13 year old that is very easily influenced so I'm going to start the real talk next week with him. Thank you for posting this topic. ♥️ Also, congrats on the huge win again!!🎉🥳

  12. I couldn't help but cry when I heard that it was so common for kids to not be able to talk to their parents. It just reminded me that much more of that need and I cannot wait until I am in a place (recently left an abusive relationship) where I can adopt through foster care!

  13. I carry that in my car and each one of us have one in the glove department we have Narcan straight from the Doctor's office.. because you never no and be careful because if that person's a drug attack and you try and save them there probably going to be Hella angry 💯.. .. .. ..

  14. My boyfriend was addicted to pain pills for more than 6 yrs. He overdosed more than 3 times. The last time he took my car down a 30 ft embankment. He finally realized that he need help. Got him into a out patient rehabilitation center. It took him about 6 months to finally take the rehabilitation seriously but he finally did. He has been doing really great. We have NARCAN in both of are cars now so that If we need to for anyone we have it.
