On this mess, we’ll not support the president. Some of the same street vendors will not vote for HH in 2026 while the ones not supporting his stand on street vending will vote for him in 2026. People know where to get things & there’s no reason why they won’t go into the markets to buy that they need like tomatoes, cabbages, onions, etc. Just one word from the president can make the vendors go into the markets. Perhaps, the vendors should be given some form of tax holidays for six months by only allowing them to pay K100 per week since we give tax holidays to multinational companies.
Local Government and City Council should work hand in hand so that Vendors go back to their trading stands at their designated places. Unlike in the CBD. Trust me Vendors do not know Business they think selling tomatoes on the walk way they think that’s how they find customers? Far from it. People know where to find fruits and Vegetables at City Market I the trading stands unlike the CBD.
Just a thought TravelTainment; make an appointment with both City council, Local Government if possible the Office of the Mayor of Lusaka to seek audience since you have the capability to get an answer, as it is the whole City of Lusaka is going to have Cholera for all people that buy food items there.
When I was there I think it was 2016 there was very few street vendors. They had got rid of them after a cholera out break, sad to hear that it has got bad again or maybe worse
It is so unhygienic. I was in Lusaka two weeks ago and l was disgusted. I went to town once and l never went back again. Its better to go to malls away from cbd. I wonder what city council is doing about it.
This has to stop we can't go on like this because we all know that any type of business has to be regulated and the Lusaka city council must make it's presence felt they must up their game
HH is total disappointment!😢

The president is a coward he is destroying in the name of appeasing a few shame.
If the worst happens it will be a disaster for the government on a scale not seen for decades. They will have blood on their hands.
There’s going to be Cholera out Break in the City of the Lusaka.
