This is the first ever home in Austin, TX to utilize hemp batts. Why did I choose hemp insulation instead of an alternative?

Hemp is cool stuff! Definitely agree with returning to more basic forms of insulation as more than any other material in a home it can be a determinant for occupant health. Also agree with the embodied carbon angle too. We are going with dense-packed cellulose for that reason and the install works well with our truss joist systems. Great video!
