  1. Weigh the pots before using them as a heater. Weigh them again after. They weigh exactly the same.

So where did this “extra energy” come from? Certainly not the pots.

But if you STILL believe this nonsense, why not make 10 of them and use 90-watt bulbs instead of the candle. This way you could get rid of your furnace!

    This nonsense does not work.

  2. I'd put the bolt exactly opposite. Hex head of bolt on the inside of the smaller pot, run it through the larger pot and put a washer and nut sticking out of the top of the large pot. Do everything else the same. Now the bolt is a handle you can use to pick up the pots for reloading the candles. Bolt may help radiate the heat too.

  3. Таким обігрівачем хіба у ванній кімнаті можна трохи градус підняти 🙂 і 100% так можна під ковдрою нагрітись, або у щільній туристичній палатці 😂

  4. As we enter the winter of discontent with a world energy crisis, I will be looking for cheap and innovative ways to keep my living spaces warm. But anyone who grew up in the 1970s or before, would just say… put another jumper on if you're cold lol

  5. Back to the middle ages in the richest countrys of the world 🤣🤣. Its only counts for the poor off course. Sow get up stand up stand up for your right 🏴‍☠️🔥🏴‍☠️

  6. Does anyone know if he’s measuring the bolt temp or the pot next to the bolt? Would be nice if he got a side reading to see if the whole pot is the same temperature

  7. I recommended this on a comment I made two preppers. Someone replied that it had been debunked as not changing the room temperature What should I reply to them?

  8. What do you think about modifying this with some sort of thermal absorbant – like dirt – to create a thermal battery of sorts? Or is there something better? I saw your other video of the 12v diy heater. Do you see anything better than brick / cement as slow heat release?

  9. Some candle heater test observations: A single 6 inch terracotta pot was placed over four 1 in wide by 2 in high candles in a bedroom that is 14×16 ft. All night. 2×6 walls with r19 insulation. Temperature outside is 31° temperature readings on pot ranged from 107 degrees Fahrenheit to 170. Temperature in room is 59° F.

Other Notes: making a rubbing alcohol candle with a wick about four times the size of a candle wick burned a lot hotter but lasted only about 4 to 5 hours. A Crisco candle with a large wick lasts a lot longer but does not produce as much heat. Sterno or chafing dish heaters produce a real lot more heat but only last around 4 or 5 hours. I do not yet understand why people double up pots inside each other, my personal observations is the pot gets hotter as a single pot. I will soon try the PTC fan heater. I am still looking for the best low cost solution to keep a large room 65 degrees F all throughout the night when the temperature outside is 30 F. Standard radiator style 1500 watt oil heaters cost alot more money but have more surface area therefore heats better than a candle/terra cotta pot heaters because of small surface area. Disadvantage of candle heaters is you go through a lot of candles! (If you do it on a regular basis) best as a emergency only solution to take the edge off. Looking forward to trying PTC fan heater. Seems like the best solution so far. One is on the way right now. I really appreciate you and all of your inventions and tests desertsun! Just make sure you include all the facts like temperature outside at the time, size of room, burn times, ect. Keep up the great work!
