  1. Im on the verge of making my own oils so am doing some research. I saw a guy basically do the same process, only before the cooking process he used a water distiller. It allowed him to reuse the alcohol and reduce cook time. I was hoping to get some feed back on the subject.

  2. Here's a suggestion since you are adding water. You can buy the 91% isopropyl alcohol at Walmarts and its quite a bit cheaper than 99% isopropyl alcohol. The other 9% is purified water according to bottle ingredients. ! So you know when you use this type that the last liquid you evaporate will always be water!

  3. This is a nice idea, I’m concerned about your safety. Do you know the auto ignition temp of IPA?
Have you checked the respiratory effects of IPA in the gaseous phase? I know you have a fan but 1mole of liquid when transformed into a gas will take up 22.3 cubic metres (a few grams will fill a room.) also check the ld50 for 8nhalation.

  4. I'd just put weed and iso in a jar, shake shake shake. Wait 1h let them soak together, put a 220micron mesh over the lid, flip the jar let the mixture into another jar or pyrex tray, put a cloth over it and let it evaporate under a few days. That way terpenes and cannabiniods wont get boiled away together with the water mixture, many terpenes have lower boiling points than water, so letting water evaporate will destroy alot of the taste. Also the darkened oil in the end comes from higher temps when evaporating. Let the sun take care of the job instead 😀 The alcohol evaporates in room temp so just let it sit for a few days. Are you soo egered you cant wait, save a few buds under the days u wait for the alcohol to evaporate 😀

  5. I have always used iso the reason why it turns red while cooking is because it's been left out in the sun for a bit, I know because that's what I do once I have filtered it through coffee filters, its green when sitting in the jar! when you put it in the sun for half hour it turns golden, that's when you know to put it in your rice cooker or what ever your using. I use electric frying pan to cook mine. cook then you will see it turn red straight away this is how you get red oil!!!!

  6. 420shorty … Thank you for the videos! ☺ im also into making the oils. Thanks for your opinions n any info you give. I think you are such an awesome person to share with all of us. I will continue to watch your videos. Also, i wanted to ask you…. What in your opinion,
