I wore them in junior high and highschool, almost every day. I remember they went "out" in 1979. I went from flare leg polyester pants and shirts with platforms to straight leg black jeans, skinny ties with my dad's penny loafers from the 60s. Good times, when I cared about such things!
my grandma wore platform shoes for her junior prom shoes were White and her dress was orange sadly she doesnβt have a picture but I knew she was looking good π
The wife replying I used to wear platform shoes they were patent black I could dance in them. Even wore them in snow . The women used to wear it in the 40s. Ok some of the platform shoes that they used to wear previously it's not a new thing

Everyone looks like Bowie in these
Omg such beautiful well made shoes πππππ they donβt exist anymore π
Platforms are the same as high heels other than a thicker sole and heel. It is not changing the position of women's stance more than other high heels.
i wish it were easier to find these being sold secondhand, i want a pair so badly!
I can still remember those times well. As a teen I wore white patent leather boots with plateau and rolled up trouser legs. It was the best time
Stacks! Missed a whole group of folks. Yep, politically incorrect for sure.

When he said Β£25 at the end…. I was like dammmm I could get three pairs of shoes from Primark for that amount π©π
This is definitely not 1977 , I would say more 1972/73, 1977, women switched to wedges and stilettos by 78/79 that was completely dominant.
