  6. I have a relative whose child is aged 4 and taking medicines yet not much improvement from seizures and the child's speech and mental development is also delayed

    What can they do ..pls suggest

    Will the child ever become normal at a later age….(in terms of speech and mental development)

    โ€ข Itโ€™s hard to bear, but we cannot lose hope to get healthy one day.

    โ€ข We can reduce ratio of attacks, if we follow doctorโ€™s advices in our daily routine.

    โ€ข We have to spread awareness about epilepsy, and show the world that nothing is impossible in life.

    โ€ข There are many people who are suffering from epilepsy, but they are living their lives very happily.

    โ€ข Itโ€™s a continuous struggle to keep Yourself focus on your goals rather then worry about your disease.

I have epilepsy from age 14 and today I am 28 years old guy all my life i have not be able to do common things most of the people of my age group do.. like for example driving … Sometimes I feel so miserable due to this…i can't even take my parents to shopping or hospital in case of medical emergency… Sometimes I feel why should I live a life like this… Epilepsy really really sucks ๐Ÿ˜ž… For the world i look completely normal but I know I am disabled and I can not do common things which i would have loved to have in my life…

  9. I have suffered from epilepsy, when I was 9months old I got 1st seizure,
    And then in every 3 months 2months,,
    It was very tough,, my parents were very protective,, one of our neighbors told us about Dr. Pushpendra Nath Renjen in Delhi he is a blessing for me,, my treatment was started when I was in 3rd class & in 12th class i was medically fit..so in the whole process I have toh sacrifice lots of things,, like I never get chance for school picnic or trip.. my parents never let me go..but they tried hard..and now I am living normally life happily married.. so everything is possible

  10. I am 27 and have epilepsy since 15years. But for last 2 years I didn't get any seizures. I have reduced my doses as well. Getting good amount of sleep and taking medicines at right time regularly are very important for epilepsy patients. At this time epilepsy is a fun fact for me. Anybody can have it at any age

Living with Epilepsy is tough… Started at age 13 while living in Assam and now at age 43 settled in Kerala and life with medication along with yearly seizure is hard with dislocated shoulders, head injuries etc… Did not enjoy self-driving, swimming, adventurous sports etc. all these years… Seizure at work has led me to work from home and now of late as Academic and Social Media Content Writer…

  13. One of my friends has epilepsy now I understand why he takes sleep in afternoon and and he is very cautious about his health and he never drives. He was my roommate he had epileptic seizures two times. When he got the second seizure I was there. Saliva was coming out from his mouth. I called other boys of the hostel and we took him to hospital. They vaccinated him and after half an hour he was absolutely normal. The hospital bill was โ‚น1500. He was not worried about the seizure but for the hospital bill.

  14. I am 30 and still have epilepsy and have been under medication for more the 15 years now unfortunately I don't think this will stop will probably be under medicine for entire life. You really miss out of things because of this like Driving, swimming etc , also don't know if this is connected but my hands tremble a lot of times.

  15. My mother is suffering from epilepsy… My whole childhood had gone through this horrific experience… Still she gets after every two to four months… But on medication the severity had reduced… Doc said she has to take medicine whole her life…

  16. Wanted to connect with you regarding my concern on being epileptic..
    I discovered recently that epileptic individuals does not get Health insurance.
    I am going through this since 2 major insurance companies rejected my application on ground of epilepsy
