Hi Pastor Robert. Enjoy the Q&A. Just a comment on the Wedding Feast being a metaphorical event (which I personally don't believe it is), what about what Jesus said in Matthew 26:29? "But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Fatherβs kingdom.β This seems to suggest it's an actual event. Since Jesus is literally drinking with the disciples then, would it make sense to refer to some metaphorical event of drinking of the fruit of the vine in the future? And since he was eating and drinking with his disciples, would it make sense that he would only drink and not eat? Food for thought. Oh and on the sound props – you do great without them π
I can hear the sound effects …. they will work for you, but I have developed an appreciation for your sense of humor. You can be very funny sans props and sounds π
Mark, as teachers we have freedom of religion. I have Bibles in my classroom because they are considered historical documents. I do NOT tell kids to read them however some kids may read them during free reading time. I do not discuss religion because I teach ELA and Math learning support this year. When I taught grade 6 ancient history for sure I presented the ancient history including Christianity when we were in that part of history. God can make possible things we can't. For example students can share with other students! I can witness through my actions, how I treat others, etc. I pray for my students silently during our silent minute during morning announcements. I read my Bible silently during our whole class silent sustained reading time. My key, like when I lived in a Muslim country and in a Hindu country, is to be led by The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will tell me what to share and when to share. Nothing can be what I do of my own will because that leads to failure. His Will, His Way, His Words, His Work. We are bondservants of Christ. That is the key, asking God to make me a good bondservant. God is NOT my co-pilot. God IS the pilot. He is my principal! I yield to His authority.
I love the joke sound. My pastor can hear me laughing and see me smiling in church every time he does or says something funny and he looks at me and smiles back. There is nothing like someone who laughs at our jokes. It just makes us feel good. That is important to me in my search for a wife. She must laugh at my jokes. So, I love the joke sound the best. Now I have to ask, why do they rid of the chat section after the live video ends? I have a hard time reading and listening at the same time as I love doing both. Chatting is a great part of the experience here and I want to go back to read it for I miss a good chunk of the chat as I am listening. But I also have to go back and watch the video again because I miss a chunk of what you say because I am reading. So I do go back and can go back to watch the video, but I can't do so with reading the chat because it is no longer available, please, if you can, make it available for us to read again later for those who want to. It used to be, why no more? I loved having it because I would both later, watch and read a second time. It is just that good here. Once is just not enough! Amen!
I like the sounds!! They're a hoot. π
