My dogs have very bad allergies one has yeasty skin and the other just scratches everywhere and won’t go away. They are already on a raw diet. What else can I do?
My dog has had 2 episodes of AHDS.. both times hospitalized. Prior to each of these episodes , I had given her an introduction or raw beef with her kibble..both times a reasonably small portion. The 1st episode was blamed on hook worm infestation due to positive fecal.. I did not mention to vet that I has given her some raw…knowing what the vets reaction would be to that. Currently she is doing well on a salmon based diet of kibble with a little freeze dried raw Primal 3-fish based topper.. I give her a small amount ..I am very paranoid about it happening to her again.. Knowing it has been labeled a syndrome ..I never know when it’s going to happen.. I always watch for any signs so that I can be proactive..Do you have any information that you can share with me…any help will be appreciated!
What do you think about the 5hairs testing or others where you send away 5 strands of hair and they send back a report of what foods and/or environmental things the dogs are allergic to?
