  1. I made this couple days ago and just now tried it. WOW! I added some zinc oxide to mine but I am so in love with how this makes my skin feel. I gave some to my neice for her baby (that is why I added the zinc). She is going to love this.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing your tallow balm/ salve/butter recipe and methods!!! I recently have become obsessed with making different tallow butter recipes, and am still tinkering around with different oils. I’d love the butter to be more stiff and less melty – I made one batch with cocoa butter, and I loved it. What else might make the balm / butter more solid? Thanks so very much!!! Hugs to you. I love your videos and always smile when you laugh – you have an amazing laugh!!

  3. Do you have trouble aligning your labels when printing off your printer it’s been like the hardest thing for me less than a third of the labels are perfect and the others are just off-line. It’s so crazy frustrating even going through the realignment margin setting set off all the good ones.😢😮

  4. Thank you for another great video. I don't have access to beef tallow, but I do have access to ovine tallow instead, it's also rich and moisturizing, it takes time to clean and deodorize to be ready for soaping, but the result is worth the hard work… I blend it with herbal infused oils, it makes really good bars. I need to try it in a balm recipe too, I hope it turns as good as your balm❤️❤️ I will even try a whipped version.
Thank you, Ellen, your videos are awesome!🙏🙏 Blessings

  5. Hello Ellen Ruth! I just discovered you today and I find you amazing! Thank you for all your instructions! I'm a very new soap maker (I've only made 3 batches) You have taught me so much today! I love your detailed descriptions! Your voice is calm and soothing, and you're very considerate. I'm now a subscriber 😊 Thank you!❤

  6. A little bit before you got your beef tallow, I rendered my own beef tallow and made my first successful 100% oatmeal beef tallow soap (rendering is a technique I was struggling with), still waiting to try it out. This was the next product I wanted to try so I really appreciate you making this video and sharing this method, will definitely try this now. Thank you.

  7. I just made a body butter with tallow, lard, camel fat, cocoa butter, salmon oil and avocado oil. I put cocoa powder and real chocolate in it❤ It smells so good and I didn’t even put any fragrance in it. I love these tallow videos from you! No wonder your skin is so beautiful 🦋

  8. I adore tallow balm! I'm too impatient to do the freezer gig. So after double boiling (melting tallow), I add my liquid oils, EO/FO if using, and start ice bath whipping. Stop before you think you need to. It's luxurious!

  9. Hi Ellen! So appreciate all your videos l have learned so much from you. Some failures but l learned so much. Anyway, could this be done vegan way? Would l just use any vegan wax or something else? 🥳🎉🎊❤️💕

  10. I love , love tallow creams and yes they are very similar to our skin and therefore easy to absorb without clogging pores. Ellen make a lip balm, you will love it. Mine has orange and lavender eo in it!

  11. So nice to see tallow getting some love. I made a whipped tallow balm and used a cottonwood bud infused olive oil as my liquid. Scented with a couple drops each of black spruce, black pepper, palo santo and frankinscense essential oils
    . Love it so much.

  12. Thank you Ellen, these look absolutely gorgeous. Such a good idea making the balm if you have no electricity. I used to live in an area where we had lots of power cuts. It’s actually not a bad thing as it reduces static levels. 😃

  13. I love tallow, I made this tallow balm and whipped it, I put a light scent in mine , but my dog still smelled the tallow and he wanted to lick my hand because he thought it was beef lol, but they have super smelling, but I didn't smell any tallow, so you really need to put some kind of scent in it or you might attract unwanted dogs lol!! But otherwise tallow is the best moisturizer to me! Thanks Ellen for the nice video and your so informative 😊.
